Customer care at Mya – my honest opinion Started by: Anonymous

Ok so o had my BA on Thursday 18th dec (in two days lo today) and a few days before coming into surgery I had read a post on here about how bad the customer service was, and to my surprise a lot of responses from girls who too were not happy with the care they recieved at MYA .. Obviously by this point I was completely worried and nervous (up until this point I wasn’t scared at all)
I then went to bed that evening and had the most terrible nightmare about having my surgery and from that point on it stuck with me and I was worrying myself sick
    HOWEVER
I would just like to say that my whole experience with MYA was exceptional.. I have absolutely nothing I would change about my experience, the whole place was immaculate, all of the nurses and staff were so attentive and friendly, if there was anything I needed they were there before I could say boobies .. I know I seems some girls hve had a not so great experiecne and I’m sorry to hear that but would hate for that to put someone off going with MYA as I honestly couldn’t fault them in any way.. The anaesthesist team in particular were so lovely and friendly and made me feel at ease ..
I will post my whole experience in more detail over the next couple of days when I can be bothered to write and essay lol..

I’m now 2 days po and although there is pain it’s bareable and I can go to the shop etc if I need to but trying to rest as much as possible (I’m finding it really hard just being lazy.. And boring)
Good luck to everyone who is having their BA and happy healing to those who hve just had them!
    Xxx

I know but I’ve seen a lot of negative comments so I didn’t want this to deter people from mya as I have had such a good experiecne with them and wanted to share it, I know a lot of girls who have had surgery around the same time as me also had a really good experience, sometimes people are quick to point out negatives and forget about acknowledging good practise so I thought I would highlight the amazing care I personaly recieved x
Couldn’t be more happy and grateful x

I think the customer care has been really good, nurses surgeons etc. the only downside for me was the administration seemed unorganised with timings, replying to emails, cancelling appointments. Happy with the procedure though

Hey Rebecca thank you for posting this! I was really worried as I had a few issues with not getting replies to my emails and stuff and then read that people had had bad experiences when they went in for their op, I was panicking about whether I made the right decision to go with MYA. But I have to say all of the staff I’ve dealt with so far have been so friendly and helpful and it’s really reassuring to know that there are people that have had good experiences 🙂 I hope you’re healing well and hope you don’t mind the add x

No worries @kirsty I have just accepted you :)and yes that’s exactly how I was feeling after reading lots on here but pleased to say my expectations were met and don’t let it deter you 🙂 I’m sure there are so many more happy customers rather than not its just people tend to rant more when they’re not happy if that makes sense so you only see the negatives .. Good luck with your surgery! 🙂 x

I just wish the follow up was a little better…just a text or call from my PC would have been nice to see how I got on! X

That’s a shame @danielle I recieved a phone call a few hours after I’d arrived home to check I was ok and if I had anymore questions (which I did) and they answered xx guess it depends on who your PC/ nurse is which is a shame x

That’s the only thing I could fault them on, everything else was spot on, especially at the hospital xx

Totally agree, I cannot fault anything at all! They have been amazing from the start! Some people have said they have had problems with aftercare but I actually rang to speak to the nurse a couple of days ago because I was slightly worried about my incisions. I got put straight through to the nurse and she said I could see her the next morning, even though i have my 6 week appointment coming up next week. I went and saw her and she completely put me at ease, my incisions were not healing in a few places due to a few stitches not dissolving so she removed them for me, sanitized it all and covered them back up with a bandage/plaster. She also gave me some to take home to replace if they are not ready to come off when I remove them in a couple of days time. So it all got sorted as soon as i let them know. If i have any problems then i know I can give her a call and she will see me which is really reassuring. I’m just so happy I went with mya 🙂 Would recommend them to anyone xxx

Glad someone has posted this I was going to do a similar thing! Everyone was so nice and as a few people of said anaesthetist and others I saw just before surgery were so nice made me feel relaxed as well as the nurses, I was an overnight stay too. Also got a phone all once I got home and the night before to check how I was! Obviously good and bad with every company but my experience with MYA has been lovely, currently 3 days PO xx
