Ok so my op was Wednesday so I’m guessing today counts as day 3 or do you count your op day?! Either way I’m in so much pain. Yesterday I could finally hold down food and felt so much better I still rested all day but today I feel like I can barely move at all my back and chest is just so tight. Please say after today it gets easier? My little boy is coming home later and just want to be a bit more normal. Also I look about 9 months pregnant which is getting me down lol.

It does get better 🙂 keep taking your pain killers and try to sleep it off, that’s what I did. By day five I managed to go out with the girls for lunch, was really tired when I got back though! Happy healing xo

Hi Kim sorry to hear you’re in pain. I really do hope it eases up soon. If you don’t mind me asking how old is your lil boy? as mines is 10 months and this is something I really worry about. Not being able to hold him as its just me and I’m still on maternity so he’s not at nursery yet. I’m really worried about how I will cope. My surgery is 2nd March. Would be good to know how you are progressing. I hope you don’t mind if I add you xx

Hi Charlene my little boy is 5, 6 in a couple of days. I imagine having the op done when there younger would be pretty hard as I don’t really need to lift my little boy now but I have seen a few girls on here with babies have it done and think they are ok asking as you have a lot of help and support. The medication has been knocking me out I haven’t done anything but sleep really the last few days.xx

Yeah pretty much normal again. Still sore and stiff first thing in the morning but one paracetamol sorts that out 🙂 just taking my time with everything. I’m 8 days post op so still early days xo

@kimlouise87 hi darling, it gets better day by day don’t worry! Just remember to have your painkiller every 6-7 hours so it stays in your blood stream constantly and you will feel good 🙂 I’m on day 13 😀 Happy healing xxx

much better, the only thing that bothers me are the pulling stitches. Yesterday i went out for some shopping but isn’t easy ,specially when you are in the tube/bus. Luckily i have my bf which is supporting me and helping a lot. I find difficult to lift things (I must to use 2 hands for everything, even for a bottle of water) , but i imagine is because i went for under muscle 🙁 xxxx

I’m so sorry you’re feeling so rubbish 🙁 I was the exact same day 3/4 and then after that I saw a dramatic improvement. However I still felt like my recovery was slower than others and needed to get back to some sort of normality so I rang my gp and he prescribed my naproxen which has been a life saver! It’s like the one up from ibuprofen he said. It’s helped massively. I’m day 7 post op today and although im still not fully out and about like before I am feeling like myself again just slightly uncomfortable if that makes sense. I know how horrible it is but it will get better!!!! You should be at the turning point really soon and just try and keep strong and think about the results and why you did it in the first place, and if you can get your hands on some naproxen I’d highly recommend it. Xx

I know how you feel <3 I felt so horrible and depressed. I too have a little boy and it was hard work! I felt 70% better by day 8/9 but it gets better each day. My worst were day 3 and 4. I also looked pregnant and my bloating was awful right up until 2 weeks post op! Think it was all the pain killers. You will get there don’t worry. Just try rest as much as you can xxxx

I think I had it so easy!
Didn’t feel any pain, just tightness and discomfort when id been laid down for a long time.
By day 4 I wasn’t taking any pain relief at all.

Day 2 I was out for mcds brekkie, Asda and later on, cinema and Nandos.

Really think it all depends on how you handle pain in general.

I had unders and I’m doing normal things. I can do my own hair, still went to hairdressers for a wash though just incase.

So it’s different for everyone, I’m seriously amazed at how normal I’ve been.

Day 8 for me tomorrow and I’m finally getting the strapping off. 😀 x
