So it has just hit me this time next month I will be 1 day post op after my second breast aug, so much more nervous this time around than I was with my first op. I shall be sneaking out of work early tomo for my pre op- cant remember what this involves… Is the pre op where we try the implant sizes out as I havent seen what implants im even having yet? Have any girls on here changed their naturelle implants for mentors as this is what my surgeon recommended?

Also any girls who have recently had Dr andrea giannitrapani and can share their results would be fab. He came across really well at my last consultation but im struggling to find any photos of his results online

    Thanks xx

    Hi Laura

I had dr Andrea last Tuesday isn’t he lovely!!! The pre op is with the nurse she will just check your health, height & weight blood pressure give you MRSA swabs. Sometimes she might take your bloods for a blood test.
Then take some before photos. That’s about all I remember of mine. I didn’t get to try implants on with the nurse at my pre op though I had to ask for my pc to see me to do that. I tried mine on two occasions one was when I saw the surgeon and the second time I asked to see my pc straight after my pre op cos I knew I wasn’t coming back to the clinic again so thought why not ask!! Next they see me I’d have my new boobs haha! I have mentor implants, I’m surprised they haven’t already showed you? what did dr Andrea recommended for you to have?

I had 300cc and 325cc from a small empty 32b im easily a DD/E now so I’m happy I’m 1 week post op today! I’ve got photos on my profile. Also if you type his full name into Google search bar his own website comes up he has tunns of photos of before and afters of his work on there if that helps cos you don’t see much on the forum about him!! Good luck hope it all goes well ?

Hi babe thanks for reply and congrats on your new additions! I hope you’re recovery is going well 🙂

I currently have 495cc naturelle implants but have capsular contracture in one breast now so having to have them replaced… my original surgeon no longer works at mya so I was passed onto dr andrea, so far so good he’s really friendly and professional so that’s put me at ease. He has requested to do 500cc mentors as this will be less likely for my capsular contracture to reoccur. I have never even seen the mentor implants or discussed my options really so hoping to do that today and see the diff kind of implants.

I’m going to have a nose on his website now thanks hun xx

I am having my 2nd op tomorrow with Mr Giannitrapani – I also have cc in one breast with my original natrelle xhp implants! (My original surgeon isn’t at MYA anymore). I am having the mentor ones put in, not sure what size or what implant exactly – I currently have 400 and he’s ordered up to 450 but I have no idea about anything else – I haven’t seen the implants or been told whether they’re smooth etc. He came across so well when I met him I figured he was the expert and left it to him to choose what I am getting. I didn’t get offered the natrelles again, I’m assuming because I got cc with them it’s better to use another brand. The implants are completely different so I have no idea what to expect which is making me a little nervous, especially as I have to go up a size. Hopefully the cc won’t come back!

    Hi lovely!

I had Dr Andrea back in October last year so I’m 7.5 months post op now. I had 325 and 350cc HP partials which took me from a 32C (probably not my correct size at all but never got measured!) to 30FF. I coudn’t be happier, I just wish I’d done it sooner! Let me know if you’d like to see photos.

    Xx

Hi Kirsty, hope you don’t mind, I sent you a friend request. I had met reop yesterday and had my extra high profile implants replaced with high profile, they are round but look more like partials as all the weight of the implant has dropped to the bottom of the breast. I’d like to know how you found the partials shape wise?

    +1

    @princess76
No problem 🙂 yeah I’ve found that as well, but wasn’t sure whether that’s due to them being partials or just because that’s that my boobs were like before! But yeah I don’t have much fullness at the top, which only makes them look more natural I guess which is what I wanted x

Hi ladies, I believe I have CC in my left breast, I had my surgery in 2013 and they used Naturelles, I understand that MYA now use Mentor? Does anyone know if I have to pay to have a re-op? I paid extra to have lifetime guarantee and hoping I wont have to fork out thousands for a very sore, misshapen and rock hard boob!! xx

Hi girls ! I have just read these posts as i am 4 years and 7 months ppst op having a BA in jul 2012 with 345cc naturelles and i have now have grade 3 CC in my left boob 🙁 . So gutted ! … i have been offered the same implants as mentioned here (mentor) and been advused by my consultant that i need revision sergery in both breasts. I was at the clinic yesterday and wasnt told anything about payment which has worried me. I also paid extra money when i first had them done for ‘lifetime garantee’ . Does anyone know if i will be covered? Some people are saying 3 years some are saying 5 ?! Confusing lol. Also what was the outcome of your 2nd BA with mentors ?

    Thanks girls ???? xxxx
