    Hi girls,

I have trawled through this forum looking for pics of Dr Traynors work but haven’t really found much on uplifts with implants. I have an appointment with him Thursday and I do like the sound of all the positive feedback I have read but would like to see a few more pics. Julie the lovely PC at Newcastle didn’t have many pics to show me which I thought was unusual. Also I haven’t enquired with any of the other obvious cosmetic companies. Did everyone shop around first? What are people’s reasons for choosing MYA as opposed to transform etc? I liked my first impressions of MYA but other friends are choosing transform for this procedure though this may be based on price?? I don’t want to over complicate and confuse myself by looking elsewhere if MYA are the best in the business if that makes sense??

Thanks girls and sorry for rambling!!

Hi terri, I’m having uplift with implants tomorrow with Dr Mounir in Preston through MYA. I would definitely shop around and have a few consultations with different companies. A couple of people I know who have already had surgery said to me ‘you will know when you find the right surgeon’ and you do. They’re all very different and it’s about finding someone that you personally feel comfortable with and that understands what you’re looking to achieve. Iris a bit of a case of entering the unknown, no one will ever know exactly what they’re going to end up with as everyone’s body is different. We all have different starting points in terms of how our boobies are. I’ve added you as a friend and will upload some pics when I can.

    Happy researching. Xx

    Hi Nikki.

Thanks for replying! I have just booked in for a consultation tomorrow with transform in Newcastle before I see dr traynor with MYA tomorrow afternoon. It’s such a big decision isn’t it! I hate that you read good and bad about both companies because it makes it so much more confusing! I have read good things about dr traynor like I say but from my initial looks it sounds Asif transform have a better guarantee and implants themselves or am I wrong on that one? (Probably!!) fab if you would upload some pics when you get chance that would be great and also you impressions of MYA so far?! Fingers crossed for you tomorrow chick!!

If any one has any comments on dr traynor or pics I would love to see them xxxx

Hi terri, to be honest transform wasn’t one of the ones that I went to so can’t comment. My impressions of MYA are very good so far. My PC Katy is so lovely and helpful both with questions and helping me when I was choosing which size to go for. Dr Mounir has been very patient in both of my consultations, taking time to answer my questions thoroughly. Whilst I agree that it is the whole package, the most important thing is that you’re happy with your surgeon and trust that he is being open and honest about what he can achieve. Good luck with your consultations today. Let me know how you get on. I’ll post an update on my surgery later xx

Ahhh seen Dr Clarke from transform today and then Dr Traynor from MYA. They both said over the muscle which I expected as I have no volume at the top of my breast BUT a difference in sizes from them. Dr Clarke offered me 240 or 265 in full or 255 in extra full. But MYA said I could have from 275 to 350 in high profile ones. I was in a rush so only managed to try on in my appointment with MYA and felt about 300 was right, I liked the 325s but thought they didn’t look much different to the 300 and I should save the weight. But now I am worried as all offered by dr Clarke were way below 300 that they will be too small OR 300 is too big when I am having an uplift and defeats the object!!

What size have you gone for Nikki? Hope all went well!! What size were you before also as I think that’s important with the cc of the implants isn’t it xxx

    Hi terri,
It went amazing and I feel great. My impressions of MYA continue to be very positive. Everyone has been so lovely and helpful. Dr mounir is a lovely man. I had very uneven breasts (32d & 32dd) so was advised to choose an implant size for the smaller side and dr mounir would balance me out as necessary. I opted for 325 high profile. When I tried the 300 I was happy but as my co-ordinator pointed out I was seeing it on top of my unlifted breast. As you lose a little with the uplift I opted for the 325. Not massively different 1/4 of a cup I believe. I actually ended up with 325 hours in both sides so He must have managed to even me out with the uplift more than expected. I’m so happy with what I’ve ended up with – they do look high at the minute but they’ll change over the next few weeks/months. I’ll attach s before and after. Feel free to ask anything! Xx

Oh wow they look fab Nikki! 🙂 this is making me so excited for 6 Sep! I have booked up!! Going to go for 300cc I think! And from looking at your pic I think my boobs now are very similar to your ‘old’ boobs haha. Will you put up some pics in a couple of days when they start to settle? I’m so excited for the difference, they look great! Glad to hear not too much pain either. That’s the one thing…I have only 5 days off work after op then one night shift then another day off. I’m a manager and spend most of my time sat at a desk tho so shouldn’t be an issue. Although I have to get changed in to overalls so I won’t be able to be inconspicuous about my boob job when I am stood all bandaged up xx

I’m back to see the nurse on Thursday for my dressings changing so will take some more photos then. There’s no change so far to them although I do feel a little bit more sore today but still nothing too bad. I had a last minute wobble a couple of days before my op and kept looking in the mirror saying to myself ‘are they really bad enough to put myself through all this’ but now I’ve seen my before and after a I have absolutely no doubt that I’ve done the right thing. I think it’s normal to have a last minute panic- especially with the uplift as well. I can’t begin to tell you how many people I’ve shown that picture to over the last few days! I’m sure so long as you take it really easy you’ll be fine. Just make sure you keep yourself fed and watered to keep your energy up. I actually feel so much better when I get up and walk around regularly. Xx

Hi terri, I had my 1 week post op review on Thursday so thought I’d upload my latest photos for you – they’re not pretty due to bruising etc but here they are ….. Xxx

Oh wow Nikki see I think they look great and I will be happy if after one week mine look like that! I can see straight away you will be able to wear no bra with certain dresses or tops which is what I am after! How do you feel about size because I thought you had said somewhere they had seemed small or am I mistaken?? How’s the pain? Xxx

Aww thank you Terri. I am happy with them and I think the size will be perfect when they settle down. I never wanted to come out with huge boobs as I quite like my profile in clothing but was very self conscious naked or on the beach, I felt like they just kind of hung there. I have never in my life been able to wear anything without a bra so am looking forwards to having that option. My boobs have always been droopy but have gradually got worse, especially after having kids although the fullness definitely gone over the past 7 years I would say. 10 years ago I was droopy but a 30ff so they have changed significantly despite my weight being pretty constant. Looking at the photos now, I’m beginning to think all that yellow is what the nurse cleaned them with lol although my partner does say they’re bruised. One thing I wasn’t expecting was to feel almost hormonal – I’m not but I feel very sensitive and am taking silly little things to heart. My boyfriend has been fantastic so I think he was a little bit hurt when I lost it with him over something really trivial yesterday. As silly as it sounds I don’t feel very feminine – I’m struggling to do my hair, I have limited clothes I can wear so not feeling particularly girly despite my new boobs. Probably something to do with being stuck in the apartment too lol. My boyfriends taking me out for a meal tonight so currently rifling through my wardrobe for something I can get my arms in. Xxx

Hi ladies, I’m debating the options at the moment but no one will give me a straight price. Out of interest what did you guys pay for implants and the uplift ? Thanks

Hi habibti, I had Dr Mounir. He works from the Manchester and Leeds clinics. Not sure whether he does anywhere else. Xx
