Ladies, I have just spent the last half hour in tears to my hubby. 🙁
I feel so down at the minute… I’m 3 weeks post op tomorrow and whilst I absolutely love my new boobies I am still in pain!! Being fit and healthy assumed id be one of the girls back to normal within a week! I didn’t anticipate it lasting this long!!
As I’m still in pain I’m having to take painkillers so am still bagged up and not getting to the loo often which is making me feel sluggish. I’m also now on antibiotics because after treating myself to getting my nails done I’ve ended up with one getting infected! (Also painful)
Not sleeping great and having to run around after my toddler while hubby is at work everyday, feel like I’ve been hit by a bus 🙁 xx

Oh hun, you sound like you’ve really been through the mill; I feel for you. I’m only 5 days post op so can’t really offer any advice, although I have a two year old and an almost 4 year old, so I hear ya! Hopefully there are some other girls on here who can relate at your stage but I’d say definitely give your nurse a call and lay it all on the table. I know everyone heals differently but the suggested span of pain in the literature we were given is 7-14 days, so you’ve really done your time now. The nurse might be able to give some helpful advice but primarily I think you need to get some more substantial pain relief from your doctor’s. And keep venting on here, when you need to. Us girls always feel better after a moan, don’t we?! Hang in there, hun xxx

Ohh you poor thing! That must be so frustrating for you, I don’t blame you feeling down about it all. What kind of pain is it? Are you sure your bra is the right fit etc? Mine’s slightly too tight and I was told to change it because it’d slow down healing and was causing me quite a lot of pain as it was constantly digging in and harassing the implant! Being on the painkillers for soo long probably isn’t helping your emotions either 🙁 Looking after your little one is always going to slow down your recovery, you have to remember that. It’s a good thing you started fit and strong beforehand having to take on all this, you probably don’t realise it but I bet you’re doing a great job, us ladies are strong creatures! xx

Thanks ladies I guess I underestimated quite how big an operation it actually is, and took for granted I’d be up and feeling normal in no time!
Yesterday I tried to not take as many painkillers so that’s maybe why I was so teary?!
Both boobs on the outside and underneath are still tender to touch and ache as the day goes on, the tops still have that burning sunburn sensation. That’s before any sharp shooting nerve pain! Aargh
Jenni, I do have a couple of bigger size bras so I will give them a try and see of it makes things any better, thanks!
Doesn’t help that I’ve been stuck at home I suppose?! Hopefully with a little help from my mum will get out for lunch today 🙂 xx

I think I did too to make it less scary, I think it’s only just dawned on me what I put my body through.. That might be why! I lowered my painkillers yesterday too and felt my first wobble of ‘oh god why did i do this to myself’, it’s amazing how much a tiny amount of chemicals can change your body so hopefully it’s just our bodies adjusting 🙂 Ohh you poor thing, that pain sounds bad 🙁 Your skin must really be stretched to still have the sunburn thing with, mine was gone after a day! Have you checked all those things with the nurse? I’m sure it’s fine but just to be sure!
Yeah I was going to suggest if you could get someone to look after your toddler so you could go have some girl time or something to help you forget that might really help! Also even though it probably hurts you to move about much, going outside and walking from the car to wherever your going might help losen up any achey muscles you have! Good luck, I hope it gets better soon xx
