    Hi Girls. does anyone know how long after your op you can fly? x

    Hello, my ops in October and I go New York for new year and he said I’ll be fine, think long haul is 6 weeks xx

    Oki dokie thank you, its just an hour flight so hopefully it will be less than 6 weeks xx

    I think they advise 4 weeks for short haul. Having said that I know of girls who’ve gone abroad for their surgery and flown home within a couple of days. Just make sure you clear everything with your nurse/surgeon first because if you go against their advice and something goes wrong it may void your aftercare because it’s seen as your own fault xx

    Hi Devon , I was told by my pc and nurse that’s it’s 4 weeks for short haul and 6 weeks for long haul .

    I was told 2 weeks for a 2hour flight x

    im going on holiday 8 weeks after, so will of had my 6 week check done and he said I will be fine to travel by then x

    Maybe you got the email today that they’ve changed their policy….

    post op they dont like you to fly for 4 weeks short haul, 6 weeks long haul (minor surgery), or 8 weeks (major surgery)

    I flew after 5 weeks but they got me to go in for a check up before I went to make suse I was all ok to go ? which I was luckily and could go in pool but just couldn’t swim swim.x

    I text my pc yesterday too see if I was able too book a holiday for end of November which would just be over 6 weeks post op and have been told they say wait 8 weeks now? Has anyone else been told this xx
