Friday 10th April at Doncaster!

heya! Is anyone else in on the same day as me at doncaster clinic? My admission time is 7:30, i found a few people but my last account go deleted!:( xx

If you’ve had it a month, you’re not a MYA patient then? I can’t wait to get mine but won’t get that til next week. I am currently a 32b and having 275 HP overs. How about you? xx

I know only 10 days away!! I am sooo scared though!:( i feel like im gonna end uo backing out at the last minute as im such a wuss!!

@georgiak I am soooo excited and worryingly not even a little nervous right now. As soon as I know my admission time, I will post it on here. Not got everything I need yet. I have heard a few people mention arnica and hibiscrub which I still need to get along with a v pillow and I need to order my Macom bra. I have bought lots of sports bras though haha…are either of you prepared @georgiak @sharnamorton x

Okay good!:). And i think i’m prepared! Ive got arnica tablets, im gonna start taking them like 3 days before maybe and the hibi scrub, i got my v pillow from argos for £9.99 and im using it now its really good for the price! My macom bra came the other day..seriously the ugliest thing ive ever seen! The nipple area on it is literally see through! Haha, how many sports bras you got? Because ive only got macom and a zip front one from m&s which i already think is too small! Xx

@katrina84 Yeah I think I’ve nearly got everything got my vpillow from dunelm was £15 but it’s a teddy bear one so it was a must lol. I still need arnica tablets and hibicrub too. I’ve got a macom & 2 sport bras from asda only £7 that’s what pc advised me to get so I’ll see how I get on & buy more post op. I’m not quite sure what im feeling yet I get excited but then so scared at the same time haha not long now, can’t wait to find out my admission time xx

I spent ages looking at sports bras lol….found some nice ones in TK Maxx at good prices. I can’t decide which colour Macom to get. I was thinking the nude colour one as you can wear it under all clothes but not keep on the colour of it haha…what colour did u girls go for? X

I got the nude one.. It is ugly but i think it will be the best one for when under clothes:) Xx

@georgiak. ..that were my thoughts exactly lol….I can’t believe how close it is getting now…..I will order my Macom tonight and get rest of my bits tomoz then it will seem even more real. Need to remember dry shampoo and anti bacterial wipes x

Yeah my macom only took like 3 days, dont forget the MYA2015 discount!:) I think next week will drag like mad though!:/ and yeah i havent got dry shampoo yet either, i can’t believe im actually having it done! Ha xx

Would any of you two know.. I’ve read posts on here about medical reports and girls having to rebook their op because they not got it from doctors in time? Mya told me they would contact my doctors to let them know I was having the op & that was it? They didn’t say I have to chase it up… Don’t want to miss my op!! Xx

If the macoms okay, ill probs order a black one, just hope its okay alot of people say there not comfy, and im not sure on that one, clinic have not sId anything to me about contacting my doctors xx

@Adele Argh how exciting ! Starting the ten day countdown tomorrow are you feeling nervous yet ? I’m up and down one min excited next crapping myself haha. I don’t have a time yet do you ? I’m getting 400cc unders what about yourself xx

@sharnamorton @georgiak I haven’t been asked to chase anything up however I did find out today that MYA don’t recommend taking arnica tablets before surgery as it thins the blood. The same reason they recommend you don’t have nicotine. I guess the thinning of the blood delays the incisions healing and increases the risk of infection. I spoke to a MYA nurse who told me they don’t recommend taking it pre op. I thought it strange the boots pharmacist was being a bit strange about giving me them and referred me to speak to my clinic. I got my V Pillow today though and some other bits such as button up pj’s/nightshirt and the hibiscrub and my Macom will be delivered tomoz. I am so excited the 10th can’t come quick enough for me 🙂 x

@libb88 I’m exactly same up an down nervouse then excited mixed emotions! Lol dr kazzazi said hel only go as big as 275cc moderate profile as I measure small frame I’m worried they be small! I’m going from 32aa I don’t have time yet Il look out for u haha x

Oh god good job you said! I just assumed it was okay to take them as ive seen alot of people on here say they have and it helped loads with bruising! Think i’ll wait until after now! Xx

@georgiak I thought it was ok too so was really shocked when the pharmacist started to ask all sorts of questions…..it was like I was trying to buy some strong drug lol. I am glad though otherwise I wouldn’t have checked with the nurse. I did look them up online first and they are a herbal remedy to which some scientists say there is no proof they help with swelling or bruising so I aren’t too bothered with taking them. Any swelling and bruising will go over time…x

@Katrina84 Yeah true they not even proven to work, ive bought them already so i’ll just use them after the op, gonna go shopping soon for some pain killers as well seen as you dont get many given when you leave! Xx

@georgiak No….I just rang MYA about half hour ago and they said they haven’t got them yet but it will most likely be tomorrow. She did say I would get an email, text and call to confirm the time so all is good and hopefully I can update my time on here tomoz. I am hoping early morning x

@georgiak. I have been easily irritated the past week but that has eased off now however I had a little panicking moment yesterday when I realised after Friday, I can never go back to how I am now if I don’t like them….lol. Then I realised it’s a small risk that something will go wrong and the thought of it going right really outweighs that risk. How about u? And u @sharnamorton x

Yeah im very nervous beth! Yeah i hope we do get similar times too! I dont know what i would have done without this forum its helped me loads, and well im off work, work in a school and its holidays, so i keep finding myself with nothing to do haha xx

Just had a text from natural look asking me to come in earlier at 7am now! She said they need to start earlier this week, so there probably sorting times out now xx

@georgiak @sharnamorton @bethanyfrain Ok so I just got my time and I am quite gutted. I didn’t want to stay overnight and hoped I would get an early appointment but instead I got 6pm….the email says surgery could be up to 6 hours after this time. So i can’t eat from 12 noon. …may not have surgery while midnight and the best case scenario is I may be discharged just before midnight so I van endure a car ride home. Really not what I was hoping for at all but what can I do…jeez I don’t know what is wrong with me but I am feeling pretty emotional and panicky about things and now even more so lol. Think I need to pull myself together and be positive x

@Katrina84 yeah my email said 5pm I’m pretty gutted too really don’t want to stay overnight, plus do we have to pay more if we do stay over? A friend told me we do but I hope not. I’m feeling the same though, just think it will all be worth it xx

@bethanyfrain My PC said if they say i have to stay overnight for medical reasons, I won’t be charged but thing is….I don’t think they allow anyone to stay with u and it’s too much to expect my boyfriend to drive back home that late and then back again the next day to pick me up. Not only that but I keep thinking the later the appointment, the longer the delay u will have cos u suffer all the delays from appointments earlier that day. Just want to be able to go back home to my bed with my family and my son but guess I will have to arrange for my son to stay at my mums overnight now 🙁 I would have thought they would put all overnighters on late appointments and day cases early appointments…that makes the most sense to me. X

@georgiak @katrina84 @bethanyfrain hey girls not all that bad mines at 7pm!! These times are day cases, I asked my nurse if my time was an overnight stay & she said no so glad I didn’t wanna stay over night! I’m so excited 🙂 xxx
