    Hi Ladies,

I am booked for my op on the 14th July and was wondering if any other ladies will be up Highgate too! Am so nervous. Went for my pre op today and paid the outstanding balance. Had some photos taken. Hope to hear from some of you soon!

    Hey,

I wont be up there but I just thought I would tell you I was there 23 Sep last year and it was THE best day of my entire life!!!!

What a lovely hospital with lots of really caring nurses and assistants too.

I would do it again tomorrow if I could.

They are so good to you and they look after you every step of the way

Do you mind if I ask what Op your having, doesnt matter if it is private.

Take Care and be excited because it is great :-)

    Hi Princess,

No, I don’t mind sharing! Seems I am the only one NOT having a BA! Lol. I am going in for a full tummy tuck, a twin pregnancy followed by a single pregnancy has left me with a tummy I no longer like looking at, so am going to have the excess skin taken away and have my muscles tightened. Am really, really nervous!

    Hi Nic,

Yes, I did see that you had cancelled a previous op. good to know that you were able to get another one with weeks to go before your holiday! I spoke with Laura yesterday, my time is midday! so will be there too. Are you a daycase? I have to stay in for two nights! My pre op was on Wed, and went well. I think I am most nervous about being under for so long (3 hours!) But she assured me that all is going to be fine. My corset that I have to wear arrived on Thurs! Its sooo sexy… Not! Lol. but will be worth it. But it’s horrible for me as I am not allowed to shower for at least the the first week, I hate that! Washing at the sink. Nice! Hehe. Well, good luck for the pre op… I will see you on Tues! I will be going with my husband, who will you be taking with you? do you have far to travel? We are coming from cornwall!

Yes. Am nervous! But as I keep being told, when its done and then once it’s all healed, will be worth it! No more kids for me! Lol

    C U Tues

    Hi Claire

Lovely to hear from u! We are travelling to Highgate on Monday night as we r in Bristol for pre op 5pm,so it seems silly to travel back to Cardiff as we would only have to set off again 4am on Tues morning. I am a worrier, so incase of any problems finding Highgate we decided to book a hotel for 2 nights but I will only stay in the hotel for 1 night as I am a night case. The hotel is only 3 miles from the hospital so Jon my partner will drop me off and I am sending him away to have his cooked breakfast!

I think I will be better if he’s not there to see me go down to theatre because knowing me, I may blub  He doesn’t like hospitals cos his late wife spent a long time in one!

I am hoping that I will be one of the first to go down to theatre, then I won’t have too much time to dwell on it! Hopefully by the time you arrive I would have had my op and be sitting up in bed eating choccies lol!!

    C u Tuesday

Your op will be worth it in the end, who is your surgeon Claire?

    Hi Nic,

Yes. That sounds practical. We are going to be taking our daughters to a relative in Warminster, and instead of heading to London the same day. We booked a room at a Travelodge in between! My husband has booked two nights in a hotel named The Comfort Inn. Its not far from the hospital. Cheapest we could book! Lol
Yeah. Thats mad isnt it?! I will be going in whilst you are in bed! Are you staying in? Im really nervous! Nice to hear of someone else thats going to be in there too. Who knows, we may just see each other! Would be nice to meet someone else, nice to know how it all goes!
My surgeon is Dr Chantasarak. Who is yours?

    C U Tues!

    Hi Alana,

Yes, my husband felt that way too when we met him on the 13th June! He was to the point and didn’t care for anything else other than what you were there for! But he was nice & polite. My aftercare will take place at Bristol. Have to go one week after surgery to see Laura and then a week after that have to go back and see Dr Chantasarak. Curiously, as I myself am not going for a BA. Could I ask how long it took once you went down to theatre? I would like to get my done in about three years! Providing my tummy tuck goes well!

    Hi Nic,

That’s mental. Our husbands are going to be in the same hotel for the same day! Madness! Lol. Yes, it’s a real shame that we won’t be able to eat the tasty food there with them, but once we had our surgery we can enhoy something afterwards! I will try and find you later on in the day. My surname is Treleaven. Cornish through and through!
