How long should the antibiotics last?

Hey guys I had my op on the 16th and took my last antibiotic last night is this right seems like a really short course? Cxxx

I had my op on the same day and I have 2 left, so that should last me till tonight xx

That’s strange do you think I should phone a nurse? Xxx

You get 5 days worth! I had my op Monday too so started them tuesday and finished them yesterday, 4 a day for 5 days! Xxxx

4? I’ve been taking them 3 times a day haha. Unless we all have different doses spaced out maybe x

I’ve been taking 2 a day one every 12 hours lol perhaps we do all have different doses? You guys still taking your painkillers? Xxxx

I’m on augmentin 1 tablet 3 times a day for 7 days.
The only thing I could suggest some of you may be on different antibitiocs if you’ve had under or over muscle (this is just a guess) as under is slightly more disruptive.
And also if you have an allergy to penicillin you wouldn’t be on augmnetin, you’ve be on a different antibitic.
And also, maybe surgeons preference.
It should tell you on the box of antibiotics the instructions of how many to take and how many day it will last for,
If not sure, maybe speak to your nurse ????
