    Hi everyone,

I’m at the ‘research’ stage at the moment although I have been thinking (or dreaming!) about this for years.
Along with my home based business (mornings) i’m currently a part time nanny to a 4 year old and 6 year old. If I go through with the op I can probably arrange my 1 week holiday ahead of time so I can rest a bit, but this is where my issue comes in – i’ve gathered from other forums that people take weeks off work. I won’t be able to do this, I can defo take a week off then it’s back to work.

HOWEVER I can obviously let my employer know (although I wanted to keep it to myself haha) so I can get away with no heavy lifting/no rough playing for a while etc so I am hoping this will help.

Would this kind of ‘rest’ be okay? It’s only 4 afternoons a week although kids are a bit full on!

    Thank you all x

Hi! I had an uplift and reduction and I felt fine after 3 days of surgery but o think I pushed myself too much and have ended up with complications. Although I am healing well now I set myself back by 4 weeks so in total I have taken 2 months off work! (Not that I am complaining?)
But I would advise a couple of weeks minimum as the first few days especially are very hard and you can barely sit up on your own without help.
I’d ask advice from the nurses and your pc but a week seems too early in my opinion to go back especially with small children. But then again I’m no expert! Haha
Hope everything goes well and take care after surgery! Good luck xx

Oh no sorry to hear that!
Glad that everything seems okay now 🙂

Thanks for getting back to me – still unsure of how to do this around work! If sitting up will be difficult it seems tougher than I thought xx
