If you’re considering surgery with MYA then please learn from my experience and do not do it! After my first surgery the assymetry was so obvious it was horrendous. At my one week follow up the nurses were very open about the fact that results were not good.
I was given a revision operation for free 3 months after my initial surgery but again the results were not good aesthetically. At the follow up after my second surgery the doctor said in hindsight he should have had a different size of implant available when doing my revision operation but he didn’t. I’ve shown a few close friends who agree the results are very poor having paid so much for surgery.
I raised a formal complaint that my patient coordinator passed to Head Office. One month later and with no reply I chased my Patient Coordinator who was very responsive and passed it to Head Office again. Another month has now passed and again no reply. Please be warned. If your experience is anything like mine and it goes wrong you’re totally on your own with no help or support whatsoever. Not only have I wasted thousands of pounds on a procedure that has left me looking worse than before. i’m now going to have to get myself in debt to go elsewhere to fix it as MYA have been of no help or support.
I’m going to forward the full details of my complaint to the General Medical Council and BAAPS but if anybody has any advice on who else I should raise it with please let me know. MYA knew I would be working abroad for a year so I think they’ve just hoped I’d dissapear and they wouldn’t have to deal with it.

Really sorry to hear this too hunni, my BA is booked next week. But I have been okay up until now. I really do hope they rectify all of this for you, can’t even imagine how you must be feeling right now. xx

i think its good of you to chase it up pr2005, they have their reputation to think of nowespecially as htye have been on tv now, would go for a 3rd op if they offered it?im having mine done in 1 week so your story freaked me out a bit, i wish you luck though xx

The moderator picked up my message and asked me my email address then the head office emailed me today. I’m in discussion with them so hopefully it will get resolved. Just a real shame I had to speak in the forum to be get a reply.
Vroobles – no I wouldn’t go back for a third op. I’m sorry if I’ve worried any of you going for ops soon. I’m sure you will be fine. I’ll keep you posted on how things progress with my case and best of luck for yours.
i totally agree! MYA are great at pre op stuff but are crap post op.
Im more upset with my boobs post op and mya dont seem to care once they have your money!!!
Im now over 2 years post op and hate having my boobs out in front of my husband. I know that another op is going to be required.
I did go and see them again but my surgeon had left mya and no other surgeon is going to slate anothers work. My PC didnt even contact me to see how things went on.
I had 2 different sized implants and now one is alot bigger than the other, oh and now they are also 2 different shapes!!!!! one is round and one is slopped. I had a nipple lift and my nipples are in 2 different places too. I wish that i’d have gone with MYBREAST for my BA now.
I was considering putting pictures on here to see what others said on here but im too ashamed of the body i now have!
I may have had small tubular breasts that where different sizes before but now i have big breasts which are odd shapes and sizes with the nipples in different places and to top it off when i went for a bra fitting the lady said i had one boob alot bigger than the other. I was to ashamed to tell her i had been in for BA.

Have you had any response julieanne4? I had an email a week ago to confirm they’re looking in to my case but no further response yet. Hopefully it will be sorted before it reaches 3 months after my complaint.

Hi pr2005. I had a recorded letter from head office saying they were looking into it for me. They said they would get back to me within 20 days of the letter and if they were still looking into it they would let me know. We will see. I will take itr further if I have too. Im getting married in Cyprus in October and there is no way I can wear a nice bikini as my boobs are different and will definatley show in one. So it has already spoilt that. And I have had to change my wedding dress because of this too. I wish I had not gone to MYA. Its making me so depressed. I hate my fiancee looking at me and I wont get undressed infront of him. I hate him touching me. its ruined everything. x
