Mr. Adamo consultation - my experience

Hi all, I had my consultation with Mr Adamo on Thursday at the Mya cinic in Holborn, London and am all booked in for my BA on 24th March at the Highgate hospital. Am so excited, I have a feeling the next 9 weeks are going to drag! Anyway I thought I would post my experience of the consultation so that anyone thinking of seeing him can get an idea of what to expect..... The clinic itself is easy to find, 5mins walk from Holborn underground station. You have to write your name and DOB on a post-it note (for confidentiality reasons I assume) then take a seat and wait. It's quite posh inside (back leather sofas and funky lights) and the girls on reception are lovely and very glam! Mr Adamo himself came out and called me into his office, shaking my hand and asking how I was, very charming lol! The room is just like any other doctors examination room, with a big desk and examination couch with some sports bras on it (I bought my own just in case). We sat down and he asked me why I wanted the BA, my current size (32A), and if it was just the size I was unhappy about. He then asked me some general questions about my health; any medical conditions, if I smoke/drink, if I have children etc. I have a mild heart condition so I have to have an ECG, is going to cost mePosted 2 years ago #

thank you michelle! all very useful, including your Q's and A's section. I have my consultation with Mr Adamo on the 18th, lol your posts above have made me more relaxed now. I'm going to go to him and have nothing to ask haha! Did you go on your own? Cause I am and was worried that would cause a problem. I have my date booked for 31st March so only a week after you. Hoping to go as natural as possible also, so will be great to hear your story once you have your new boobies! x xPosted 2 years ago #

I'm glad it helped Liane, you may want to ask more about the procedure and anaesthetic itself - I didn't need to as I work in an NHS operating theatre and have seen lots of BA's! Hence the answer about type of suture being so detailed lol! Yes I went on my own, my bf came with me to see the PC in Watford but he had to work this time round. I was worried but more about finding the place than the consultation itelf! There were a few girls who had a friend with them, a few on their own and a few with their other halves, I really don't think it matters. Just make sure you write down your Q's and leave a space for his A's as you will be so buzzing you'll probably forget! I did originally want 31st March day case but they were fully booked and the next available day case was end of April which was no good as I'm at uni and don't want to miss too much. So am having an overnight case which my family are happier with anyway xPosted 2 years ago #

yes same here, I wanted a day case too but fully booked so im overnight on the 31st now. I honestly can't believe i'm actually going through with this, its all just crazy! finding this forum really helpful though, and thank you for your info. I'm going to be on my own even on the surgery date, with my bf picking me up in the morning after. its the only way we can arrange it, as my bf can't get the days off work. which is why i was wanting the day case, but can't get the time off work myself if I leave it any later. its crazy how quickly dates book up! just shows how many people have BA's. I'm so glad i'm booked in with mr adamo, even tho i haven't met him yet, he is known for leaving the most amazing scars and natural looking results - my top two priorities. xPosted 2 years ago #
