Hiya girls. I wouldn’t normally do anything like this but I understand there are literally not many stories or photos strictly on uplift procedures. I had my son 2 1/2 years ago and since then my boobs dropped, but didn’t lose size. I would never look at them or show anyone else. I was even embarrassed to show my Mam. I’m a single mum so as a lot of yous can imagine it was quite hard to get close to someone having such confidence issues, so I decided to speak to MYA. 🙂

    Im 5’1 (although I’m telling myself I’m sure I was 5’3/5’2) , I’m 8st & size 8 clothing.

I booked in for my initial consultation at Newcastle Clinic and met my patient co-ordinator Julie who I straight away bounced back on. She’s so lovely and funny and totally understands your concerns and reasons for having no confidence. She kept in contact with me and helped me make my decision. It was already made when I made the initial call tbh but she gave me a lot of support too.

I booked in to see DR Traynor and went for my Surgeon Appointment. I knew he was straight to the point with a dry sense of humour and for a little bit was actually nervous to meet him. Anyway I went in told him the crack and he looked at my boobs and his honest opinion was to leave them. He said they were fine and I’d be wasting a lot of money. I appreciated his opinion and that he could have just told me to get implants and an uplift and take my money and he didn’t. However my confidence issues don’t ever go when someone tells me they are fine. So I had a mini meltdown on the bed and told him my main issues and that I didn’t contact MYA because I wanted bigger boobs I just wanted them back to where they used to be and also I didn’t get on with how big my nipple was. So we agreed an uplift with nipple correcting. I was buzzing! I can honestly say I hummed and harred a few times purely because everyone else was getting implants and I wasn’t. But was 100% reassured by my surgeon, patient co-ordinator & my nurse at my post-op appointment.

I travelled down yesterday to Preston and stayed in a hotel nearby. The premier Inn East with my mum. We did a trial run last night atlfter we went out for food and it was the best thing we could have done. There are road works everywhere. It took us 45mins to find our way around which only should have been a 10min drive , if that. So girls if your booked in for Preston I’d do the same! Eventually our satnav redirected us but didn’t at first so kept taking us back to the roadworks!

I was given my admission time by my clinic and I set off in good time. The staff in the hospital were all lovely and friendly. Showed me my room as I was an over nighter and let me settle in. Did all the necessary tests on me. Met my anesthetist who went through my options and said I was low risk. DR Traynor came in soon after and did his drawings on me and he was lovely. It was my mums first time meeting him and she was very happy. I was taken down 45mins later and can’t really remember falling asleep. Just remember the pain killers they gave me just before the anaesthetic made me light headed then I was out for the count!

I was informed after I was only in surgery for about 1.5/2hrs. I had chest tightness which was uncomfortable and the spray they used on my boobs was stinging but apart from that I’ve had no discomfort. I had painkillers late last night and again this morning and I feel great! I had to get a dressing changed just this morning because I leaked through after surgery but all is well and changed. I’m waiting to see DR Traynor again this morning then I’ll be good to go home 🙂 I’ll pop a couple photos on of me before my surgery and a sneak peek on with my m&s bra on now. Can see a little bit how they are now. If any of you girls have any questions please just ask if I haven’t mentioned it! ???? I also forgot that I had my rook piercing in my ear and have absolutely no idea how to remove it so I panicked and the nurse just covered it with tape for the surgery! So if there’s any piercings you girls can’t remove or forgot about until the day just tell your nurse! X

I feel absolutely fine apart from still feeling sick from the anaesthetic and the codeine! I’ve bought a V pillow so I literally don’t move during the night. First night was awful had a sore back the next day but I’m getting used to it now! I do try turn on my side but I wake up and stop myself cause it hurts :/ you going to the Preston hospital? Xxx

I got it 4/5 days before my surgery date. Sometimes you can get it the day before though. I was only in the hospital an hour and I was taken down 🙂 xx

I’m booked in to have a consultation with mr traynor in 5 weeks, I feel much better about it after reading this. I’m glad he’s so honest and does right my the patient and what he knows will work best. I feel excited to meet with him now. Although I’m still nervous as not one single person has ever seen me without my bra on, I just can’t wait to book my op, I will be having an uplift and implants if mr traynor agrees that’s what I need. Cant wait to feel comfortable and not hate my boobs anymore x

    Hey Sherilyn,

I’ve sent you a follower request on insta too. I’m considering getting an uplift with no implants too but in London (they’re saying my natural cup size is big enough so doesn’t make sense to get an implant too).

    Thanks,

    Alice
