Yes, and ask away – there were hardly any tt ladies when I had mine. I’m back on here as looking into other surgery… 🙂 xx

Aahh thanks hun! Just added you now 🙂 How are you finding it? How long did it take for your swelling to go down completely? My waist is back down to 25 inches and I am still swollen which I am pleased about! How long was it before you could shower? soooo many questions ha! xx

That’s ok 🙂 I was lucky to have a friend who had been through it, because there wasn’t anybody on here at the time, they were all boobies.

Erm… I remember the swelling coming and going for a long time, and I think September was the first time I tried dresses on and thought “wow!” and definitely by Christmas I was feeling confident in what I was wearing.

As for showering, it was over 4 months for me!! I know it was after I saw my surgeon at the post op appintment (saw mine at 4 months) because I wasn’t healing in the middle of the scar. I was advised to keep it covered by nurses using iodine, but when I saw my surgeon she said that I was to air it and it healed really quickly. What I did do though was have very shallow baths to wash the lower body, and hair washes were done with help over the bath until I felt comfortable to do it myself.

I was walking straight by the beginning of May, when I went on holiday so 2 months.

I did take measurements but put them on my iphone which I lost 🙁 I have gone down a dress size… just need to work on the rest of my body!! haha xx

I’ve just had a look at your pics and both look great! Who was your surgeon?
I was a lot more swollen than that! But I had lipo too so thats probably why.
I will try and put some pics on when I get chance.
How did you lose the weight before surgery?? 8 stone is amazing!!!! xx

Hey hun! Thanks so much for answering all my questions! Really hoping I can shower soon but not holding my breath!! Nearly walking straight at the minute but start to hunch the more swollen I get but that will ease with time I guess!
I lost the weight by running mainly – I signed up to the race for life 5k and trained towards that and completed it on my 21st birthday lol! Then went on to do a half marathon 🙂 I reduced cals to 1500 per day, ate little meals but often (5-6 meals a day) and the weight just fell off. Now training to compete in a bikini competition in November, just hope I am ready and recovered in time!! xx

So nice to read about tt on here,I had a tt, ba, and lipo x2 on flanks and inner thighs on 5th march at Preston with dr traynor I’m nearly 6 wks post op now but I’ve been quite poorly my bloods were very low and I’ve been given iron tablets to take twice a day for a month by my gp then I have to have a repeat blood test. At the moment I’m still a bit swollen but my concerns are with my belly button I hate it, it looks like a pair on lips sewn on my stomach, still can’t fasten my pre op jeans which I’m gutted about but I go for my 6 wk check up on tues so I will mention it again. Hope you don’t mind me adding you as friends. Thanks

Do not worry at all about not being able to do your jeans up – I still hadn’t lost a dress size when I saw my surgeon at 4 months. My swelling took ages to go down, but you just want to be active especially when you have children, but just take your time because it really does pay off to be patient.

@jodie – well done with the running, I think I may invest in some running trainers!! 🙂

Everyone else, I will accept friend requests so fire away with any questions!! Photos will be uploaded soon if I can work it out!! xx
