Had my op with Mr mounir at about 1 yesterday. No complications however I felt dizzy and was sixk all over my room, when they let me go I was drifting in and out of sleep, got home ( half an hour away) and felt worse, can’t walk or move or talk or open my eyes. I’m sick every hour and keep throwing up my meds so I’m in so much pain. I’m so upset it’s ruining my experience I’m not even excited or happy I’m just so poorly 🙁 🙁 rand the nurse she said I’ve had a bad reaction to the anaesthetic 🙁 veryyyyy sore can’t even lift a glass of water! Please tell me I’m not the only one, If I had more energy I would cry! My fingers and the only thing it doesn’t hurt to move, even my chest hurts when I breathe! Xxx

Oh you poor thing!!! hopefully you will start to feel better in a day or so once it the anesthetic is totally out of your system. Just keep eating and drinking plenty of water to wash it out your system x

Oh gosh that sounds awful. I feel so lucky jn comparison.

What I would say is try and suck on ice cubes to keep you hydrated. That’s the most important thing. If you can try and drink the flat lucozade sport drinks or powerade. It will hydrate you more than water and is full of salts and minerals. The problem with not eating is you have to have your antibiotic with food otherwise it will make you even sicker. Is there anything you could try and manage. A little bit of toast? Maybe some crackers x

Oh sweetheart… It does get better pain wise honest… Your right definitely sounds like a bad reaction to the anesthetic it makes you so drowsy after for ages.
Keep taking the tablets even if you can’t keep them down… What u got co codamols? The girl who was in with me when I had mine done was in agony they offered her tramadol and then oral morph…
It could be the tablets making you sick though some girls found switching to ibuprofen better for them.
Try to rest and plenty of fluids. Promise you it will feel better!!

Oh I wish I could have some tramadol right now I just want to be asleep so I don’t have to feel any of this im just fed up, physically can hardly move and keep drifting away 🙁 so shocked cos I thought Id recover really fast xxx

Awh I’m so sad to hear that! That was me all yday, I was so sick and couldn’t eat but im way better today, everyone’s different and I went from feeling hideous to feeling fine pretty quickly, I drank about 3 jugs of water to try and flush everything out and it seems to have worked. Just drink loads and rest and you’ll feel normal soon I’m sure!!! Sending you a big hug! 🙁 xxx

Hi Candice, I had my BA and TT yesterday, staying overnight and still in the hospital now. I had the same reaction like yours, been sick a few times a feeling very dizzy. I was ok the first few hours after I came round, only felt sick just before I start eating the toast and tea the nurse brought me(I didn’t feel like eating the first few hours, just wanted to drink lots of water). Anyway, the dizziness come and go all the time and after I was sick the 3rd time, the nurse ask if I want any anti sickness drug, so I got some and felt much better after that. At night the nurse help me to toilet and I felt faint all a sudden, my head felt heavy and freezing and they had to help me to my bed again. Apparently my blood pressure drop so much and so did my oxygen level. They put drip on me to bring my blood pressure up, and also put oxygen mask in me for quite a while. The doc suggest me to stay in bed for the night and use bed pan if I needed a wee. The nurse was in and our all night to monitor my blood pressure etc, she was lovely and kept comforting me. Anyway, i felt better this morning, had breakfast, got my dressing changed for TT incision, and also my drain took out. Hope you are better love! x x
