Hiya, my Ba is nxt wk, i am also very scared about this, i have been put to sleep twice in the past. the way i think of it is, i pretend im just gonna have a lovely sleep, i have a 1 year old daughter who keeps me up alot at night, so when they are about to put me to sleep i just think of going into a lovely deep sleep, and think of nice thoughts. its affects people differently, i wake up and cry alot for some reason, some people wake up laughing, or may be a bit sick. Dont let this put you of the op. The canches of not waking up are soo small. hope that has helped a bit xx

Don’t worry, I work in medical theatres a lot due to my job and have never seen/heard of anyone not waking up!the only reason u wouldn’t is if u were medically unhealthy which I’m sure if u were they wouldn’t be letting u have the op, I was absolutely fine with my anaesthetic, don’t let it hold u bk xxxx

i think this is one of the most popular type of post, i think everyone fears that the most.

It really is nothing to worry about, there one min, gone the next. Feels like your asleep for 2 mins then you have boobies.

    ITS GREAT DONT WORRY!

This was my biggest fear too. I’d never had a GA before, but it was great! One minute I was chatting to the anaesthetist, then I started feeling a bit lightheaded as if I’d had too many glasses of wine. The next thing I knew, the nurse was telling me it was all done. I didn’t believe her until I looked down and saw for myself because it felt like I’d only been asleep for a minute!!

Mr Singh is fantastic too, he did a great job with my boobs! :-)

    Good luck xx

I WAS REALLY SCARED OFT THAT TOO!! BUT DONT BE!! I HAVE TO SAY IT WAS REALLY QUITE RELAXING!! AND GOES VERY QUICK!! ITS MAD, COS ONE MIN YOUR FALLING ASLEEP, NOT REALLY NOTICING YOU ARE, THE NEXT YOU WAKE UP!! ITS MAD!!
BUT WHEN YOU WAKE UP, YOU FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE BEEN HAVING AN AFTERNOON NAP!! ITS GREAT!!
I WASNT SCARED FOT HE PAIN, IT WAS THE PUTTING TO SLEEP BIT!! AND I REMEMBER WAITING TO GO IN, PROPER BRICKING IT!! THEN WALKING INTO THE ROOM, AND I WAS LIKE “SHIT!!!!” BUT IT WAS ALL SO EASY AND OVER SO QUICK! WHAT YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER IS! THE SURGEONS DO THOUSANDS OF OP EVERY YEAR AND IT SVERY VERY RARE THAT OWT GOES WRONG!! YOU HAVE MORE CHANCE OF BEING KNOCKED DOWN BY A CAR!
I HAD AN UPLIFT AND IMPLANT SO I WAS UNDER FOR 2 HALF HOURS!! WHERE A PLAIN IMPLANT TAKES ABOUT 1 HOUR HALF!! SO THATS WHY I WAS MORE NERVOUS! BUT OMG IT WENT TOO QUICK!! WAS REALLY WIERED! BUT A GREAT EXPERIENCE!! SO DONT WORRY xxxxxxxx

Hi Donna, i have had 3 babies and had never had a GA before, so was really nervous before my ba, but to be honest i think once you have given birth, having a ba is nothing!!!

actually love, i never cared about the pain or anything about the ba.. never even thought abbout the results just being put to sleep… but believe me its was just too amazing.. was put to sleep.. cnt remember when i fell but woke up feeling amazing.. was breathing normally and i just kept telling the nurse beside me that i loved her… silly probably i was toooo happy i was awake… its not 1% as scary as it sounds… just amazing… just make sure you listern to you nurse well and avoid totally anything that could course anything… smoking, drinking, herbal medication anything at all….
when i remember my xperience and now 3 moths po.. i just fall in love with Dr Adamo all oveer again..
