OP 1 week today! Couple questions about Fitzroy & Op :)

Hello all!
I’ve got a blinking countdown on my phone at this stage, I am sooo excited. Also, a little bit terrified.

I’ve got two questions – the first is about the much praised after-surgery sandwich. Has anyone had any food requirements? I do and although I’ve told them, I’m slightly worried that they won’t cater for me, and depending on how long I end up waiting for the op/admission time I might REALLY need that sandwich, haha. So, just wondering if anyone else had food requirements & how well they catered for you?

Second, a lot more serious than a sandwich! Heart rate – I read someone on the forum (sorry, can’t remember who) say they were so nervous their heart rate shot up and they wouldn’t operate on her until it calmed down, that they said they might cancel surgery if it didn’t. She then said she was given a drug and that sorted it. I had the same thing happen at my pre-op appointment. I monitor it so I know my heart rate is totally normal, but it was soo high at my pre-op,she kept retaking it. I explained it was just nerves but she had to write it down anyway. Anyone who knows about this I would really appreciate it, because being nervous about being nervous is an awful spiral to find yourself in!

Ahh you must be so excited! I had mine at fitzroy 8 days ago.

I took snacks and stuff with melliot just incase they forgot to feed me! I didn’t get out of recovery until 6ish and wasn’t as hungry as I thought I’d be. They offered me a sandwich or toast..so I had tea and nutella on toast! In had to stay in overnight and they gave me so much for breakfast!

With the the heart rate they will keep in mind how nervous you may be! So I wouldn’t worry too much about this. They said mine was pretty high but acknowledged the nerves. Try and keep yourself calm on the day. The staff there are amazing and you are in good hands xxx

They also give you a bell yon ring if you need a nurse! So if they dont bring you anything treat you can always ask. I rang mine and asked for another cup of tea! Haha

I am a serious tea addict so this is all good to know. Did you plan on staying overnight or did something happen..?

I’m feeling okay..still so excited to have them and can’t stop looking at them! It’s been a roller coaster of a week! I don’t deal with pain well! But I’m getting there and they’ve changed so much already!
They always said I would have to stay. Which at first I was annoyed at but i had such a horrible night with pain and just felt awful so I’m glad I stayed!

Well, you’ve got your first week done, so hopefully the worst of your pain is over! 🙂 I bet you’re dying for your 6 weeks and getting your measurement done.
Oh dear, you’re making me regret getting a day case xD Ah well – my hotel is only across the road, I hope I’ll be ok!

I just checked my emails and found that yes, I do have my admission time! 9:30am. I was really hoping for that sort of time, so I can sleep a bit later and not worry too much about fasting etc.
I realllyy hope that I get to have the biggest size they offer. Anything would be better than now though! 😀 x

Yeah exactly. Hopefully it’s just onwards and upwards from here . I know I am so so excited to get measured and start bra shopping!!
Ah I’m sorry! You’ll be absoultely fine..just keep on top of your meds and do everything they advise! Ice helps too! But not sure if you’re allowed to put it on them that soon after your op…but ask!

I’m a bit gutted (maybe you are too) that I’m missing out on buying all these lovely bikinis and swimsuits that’re on sale lately!
Haha, don’t worry! I’ll be OK, lots of meds and a boyfriend in the bed next to mine (we’ve gotten a twin room – he’s all elbows when he sleeps) to look after me. Haven’t got any ice packs yet, will have to look into getting some ASAP. Even if they don’t lemme use them straight away they’ll come in handy later.

Dr Marcellino has ordered every size between 300-400cc for me, round, I mod or mod plus, not sure which and they will be overs to fix some tubularity. 🙂
I really hope I get the sort of 400 because the 350s looked quite small on me, about a C. I guess because I have quite a wide build. A lot of girls have gotten boobs that look massive with 300s but they tend to be much more petite than I am! I would be happy with 300s, but I think I’d get boob greed like crazy! Haha

Chris, tell me about it! I’ve seen so many swimming costumes and tops that I want but have no idea what size I’ll be! It’s always the way…so much nice stuff when you can’t get it!!

Yeah I Was going to say be careful, my friend came to look after me a few days post op and sharing a bed is not ideal! I’ve got about 15 pillows and a v pillow but I wake up on my side nearly every morning!!

Wow he’s ordered loads! I had options on the day and my surgeon asked what my preference was. When he comesaid to do all the drawings on you tell him you want the bigger size. Don’t get shy! It’s your body. Whatever you have I’m sure they’re going to look great, make sure you out some pics up when it’s all done!

Mine are quite small, but I don’t want them very big. I’m quite tall and has no boobs so want to look at bit more in proportion! There are some pics on my profile
They’ve changed so much In just a week! Xx

Lauren – maybe we’ll be lucky and there’ll be a second wave of clothes on sale in September!

He has ordered a lot for me – I think because I’m kinda an awful combination of everything! I’m broad, quite tall (little bit shorter than you, I think. I’m like 5ft6 or 7), little bit chunky with wide hips… so I would suit a bigger implant but, I have very little breast tissue to cover it so usually they would go under but… I need overs to correct the shape. Just my luck to have theee most awkward boobs ever. 😛

I know this is gonna sound stupid, but I’m gonna stress that I’d like the bigger size…but if the smaller size looks better (not rippling, obvious lines whatever) I’d rather that. I don’t wanna end up embarrassed of my boobs & always hiding them in high neck tops – I’m getting this op so I don’t have to do that anymore! I don’t really want a look where people would just look at me and go, “Oh. Boob job!” Do you know what I mean?

I’ve added you to have a nose if you don’t mind, lovely 🙂

Yeah I didn’t want mine to be obvious. My goal was if you don’t know me you won’t know I’ve had them done!

I’ve just had a look Lauren, and oh my goodness they look perfect on you! You must be so crazy happy!
You definitely wouldn’t know you’d had them done, they look very natural 🙂
