Picking up: cuddling your children ect

Just wondering as I have a 2 almost 3 year old (he will be 3 4 weeks after my op) and a 6 month old cx

Personally I couldn’t do that till day 16 post op I had 400cc unders everyone is different my kids are 8 3 everyone is different I’ve read on here girls doing it 5/6 days xxx

I think overs are meant to be a little easier to deal with but unders take longer to recover xx

Going to hate not being able to give them roper ciddles and things 🙁 thanks girls x

I have a six month old and as I’m on my own I had to carry on with baby duties from the moment I was discharged after surgery. Its not too bad, the hardest is bath time. Try to do things at hip level to make it more comfortable for you. I have to carry her facing away from me as a couple of times she’s knocked me when she starts wriggling xx

I had 700cc on Friday 21 August at Fitzroy. My son is 15 months old approximately 13kg. I have not lifted him up yet and am waiting for nurse advice on that and certainly waiting 2 weeks. Interesting that you say about baby facing away from you when you pick up. How much does he weigh ? How do you feel when you lift him up, any pains or discomfort ?

I’m now 8days post op, and it definitely gets easier. When you pick them up you can feel it pull on the stitches and that can be quite painful. I keep her facing away from me because she knocked me and caused the nerves to go into a spasm which was really painful. As your little one is a bit older I would definitely ask the nurse and wait an extra week if you can help it. They will just have to have extra cuddles when we are all healed 🙂

My partner can get a week of work he works really long hours and I have 10 days of them I’m back to work but I’m a nail tech and in my own home so other than 2 afternoons a week wheny oldest is in nursery I will literally have my 2 boys on my own . My 2 year old will air one knee and give me xusea and things I’m just a bit xonsermed about picking my 6 month old and carrying him downstairs in a morning and things x

My oldest will sit on my knee ands give me cuddles that should say x
