I have my cheeks, snake bites and 2 tongue piercings and I really want to know if I’ll have to take them out for surgery, I’m not to much bothered about the snake bites and the tongue bars but I really don’t want to take my cheeks out because they take a year and a half to heal!
I’ve heard you can’t wear piercings because if you need that shock thing on your chest (sorry I forgot what it’s called) the metal will interfere with it, so maybe if I wear plastic bars and surgical tape over them to make sure they don’t fall out!

You can replace all your metal piercings with plastic ones! Xx

All can be replaced with plastic ones – except on your tongue!!

I had to take my tongue one out in case for whatever reason they need to get a tube down your throat, it could rip your tongue, they wouldn’t even let me have a plastic one in.

I was lucky to be able to get it back in – it’s the first thing I did when I came round, it wasn’t easy but it just ‘popped’ with a bit of force!!

    You look awesome btw xx

At my consultation my surgeon said plastic bars were fine then on the day made me take them all out. But my nurse put my nipple bars back in for me straight after my op and the rest I put back in as soon as I was awake enough lol xo

You can wear plastic ones but even if you take them out you can put them back in immediately after x
