Poorly tummy – is this normal girls?! Help please

Ok .. Me again 🙂

Did anyone else have a really bad tummy. (Glamorous I know) but I’ve had diarrhoea for the past 4 days (including today)

I need to take my last distaclor (antibiotic?) tonight and was hoping it is due to that and not an infection 🙁

I’m still pre-op so I’m unsure about whether the op would cause this. If you still have your patient info guide it might say in that, could be a side effect of the anaesthetic maybe? But I would also tell your nurse if you’ve had diarrhoea whilst taking antibiotics as I believe this can make them not work (it’s essentially the same as spewing the tablet back up as the body might not have had time to digest/absorb it)

Total opposite for me hun bloated and couldn’t go for a week 🙁 did not feel gd. I would ring your nurse like above said your body wnt be absorbing the antibiotics xx

Thanks so much girls! I called up my nurse and she said it was probably the antibiotic making me feel so crappy and that I don’t need to take any more of them as there is no infection being treated.

Oh gosh, I don’t know whats worse having to ‘go all the time’ or not being able to ‘go at all’ !! I don’t know i you can take it.. but Senna/ Sennecol tablets are great for constipation, but I’m sure your nurse will advise you something 🙂 Hope you’re feeling better!
