Post op checks/reviews?

Hi ladies,

Just wanted to check something with you as I’m a little confused. I had a 1 week check with the nurse and have another one booked in at 6 weeks with the nurse.

Am I supposed to also at some point meet with my surgeon to review how it went? Just that there hasnt been mention of that to me but I have noted that quite a few of you seem to mention meeting again with the surgeon and getting further advice or views from them? Was this instead of meeting with the nurse or in addition?

So is that automatic and will just happen when I see the nurseat 6 weeks or is it a separate appt that I need to make?

i didnt see my surgeon at 6 weeks but I thought I would! it was just the nurse!xxx

I saw my surgeon at 12 weeks for sign off x

Hi Wendy, the nurse should have made an appointment for you to see the surgeon at 6 weeks as well. This is what happened with me – I’m seeing the nurse and the surgeon on the same day. I also saw my surgeon at 3 weeks as she wanted to review the progress and see if I needed to continue wearing the breast band. Xx

Hey, I had a 1 week check up with the nurse, 6 week check up with the nurse and then a 3 month check up with my surgeon, not sure after that i have my 3 month check up next month xx

Hey hun. I had a 1 week post check up with the nurse, another at 6 weeks post and then she booked me in to see my surgeon again to be signed off, which was at 12 weeks post. My surgeon asked me to see him again in another 6 weeks to see how they are progressing but I haven’t done that yet. Will do it soon. xxx
