Hi

Had my Rhinoplasty done on 28th October 2010 !! So happy its over - the lead up was very traumatic for me. But i must say and i honestly mean this i am so pleasently surprised how happy i woke up out of my GA and how i am not actually feeling much if any pain ha!!!

Unbelievable i promise i am so shocked - i had a BA around 5 years ago and that to me was definately more uncomfortable!! I requested to be the 1st patient down on surgery day and found out that there was only 2x of us under Mr Gonschoir that day @ The Lifestyle Hospital in Manchester. I was admitted 7.30am and was told i was 1st (so happy i would get it out of the way while was still tired from waking up ha). The nurse cam in to take blood pressure etc, met the anaethetist who was lovely and then Mr Gonschoir came to check my wishes for my nose. The lovliest nurse called Maria came to take me to theatre, she had me in stiches but i was so scared of going under the GA again i was virtually nearly in tears she hugged and reassured me i would be fine - and i really was!!!

I woke up to Maria again laughing with me and talking lots about my surgery - she said she was a scrub nrse also and watched my surgery and said they took a big chunk out and how i would love it when the cast was off - this was music to my ears - fingers crossed. I then got wheeled back to my room where my partner was waiting and i was all smiles and happy it was over!!! I felt fine just a bit sleepy - my nose was competly numb and stayed that way all day and night - i was on painkilllers and anti-biotics etc but i managed my food and lots of water as my throat was really dry from the tube which would of been down my throat from surgery. I had a couple of bruises under each eye but i expected so so much more... Because they went through my nostrils i have no scars except 2x dissovable stiches up each nostrils and the plastic cast on - it feels part of me now!!

I was relaxing as much as i could at home and religiously putting Arnica gel under my eyes and ice packs on the bruising but i promise to everyone who is considering Rhinoplasty or has booked surgery it looks so much worse than it is - i am so shocked!!!

Cast was taken off last week and the results are amazing - cant really believe my side profile!! Mr Gonschoir is amazing - i have before and after pics if anyone wants to see

Hey could I see pics plz kizizanangel@hotmail.com. I wanna get mine done but I heard its one of the most painful of surgeries but readin ur story its quite reassuring, how was ur breathing after was it dificult at all, I've jst had a ba on 25th oct so I'm lookin to have my nose done next year xx

I had my nose done last year and I had no pain at all, couldn't breathe out it the 1st two weeks tho! I'm hope to have a Ba this year now tho x

Hi everyone - sent those emails to whoever hasnt recieved them yet!!! Hope you like!!!

Honestly i put off Rhinoplasty since i was allowed to have surgery at 18 - this was all to do with the thought of what actually they do in surgery and its your face!!!! I would definately say BA was more painful - i had closed rhinoplasty through my nostrils so no scars and i could breathe through them straight after i woke up in recovery - i couldnt believe it!!!!

Great experience @ Manchester / Leeds clinic and Manchester Hospital!!!! Mr Gonschoir was the best - an artist as they call him!!

Thank u, pics are great, I had my ba done 3 weeks ago and I'm so happy with mya and my surgeon, I had mr kazzazi, no pain or anything I woke up to great aftercare and mya are alway on hand when u need them before and aftere surgery, I will definatly b looking into gettin my nose done middle of next year and will ask for a consultation with the artist lol. Thanks hun xx

Hey! Would love to see your pictures if that's okay! Ive booked to see Mr Gonschoir next week and am thinking of having my nose done at the end of the the summer. Very scared though but something I've been thinking about for ever. I'm going to have a ba and a nose job on the 17th!! I think the first week is going to be tuff but at least the suffer will be done all at the same time. I was told the ba is more painful but the nose job is more uncomfortable. wish me luck girls

Hi Tania I really want to have my boobs done at the same time as well. I did discuss it on my first consultation but the girl said u can't have Mr Gonschior as he doesn't do BA but I'd really like him to do my nose! What surgeon are you having? X

I'm having dr Chantarasak at Highgate, london. She says he's the best. He has done on of the big boss's wife's facelift. But I'm not sure if she was just trying to sell... Where do you live? Ask your pc which surgeons do both and if you don't have in a clinic next to you, you can always go to another of MYA's clinics. I've heard of people who came from other towns who's relatives stayed in hotels while they were in the clinic.

Hi girls

I had my ba and rhinoplasty on the 30th April, am still at home recovering and have my cast off on Monday. I had mr fallahdar and I love him. He put me at ease whenever I saw him and is a wonderful man.
I'm so glad I got both out the way in the same op, during the first few days of recovery I was thinking what have I done tk myself as it's quite scary having two things changed but it's one operation, one anaesthetic, one trip go hospital...I'd def recommend it.
The op isn't scary at all obviously as u don't have a clue what's going on. The worst part for me was the nausea when I woke up, was terrible but wasnt in any pain AT ALL!
I'm so surprised how I've now had any pain with my nose, the boobs have been achey but the nose hasn't, it's annoying having a cast kb your nose for a week after and it runs with goo and snot quite a bit in the first few days buy no pain at all.
I'd definately recommend mr fallahdar! Xxx

Hi sarah,
nice to hear that things are going well with you. After reading your comment I kind of regret of not going it mr fallahdar. They say dr C is very goos but he's a man of few words and with my epilepsy I need someone who I feel comfortable with and who shows some support. Lets see how things go... I'm sure the op will go well because he's a very good surgeon, just not sure if I'll receive the same attention you seem to be having with mr fallahdar

oh no dont regret it hun, all of the surgeons are brilliant and have done thousands of operations, im sure he knows what he's doing! i will say though that mr fallahdar has made me feel so comfortable, from my first consultation when i said how i wanted to look (he showed me lots of pictures of past patients and stood in front of a mirror with me and said tell me exactly what you like and dont like) to the day of the operation where i quite bluntly said to him 'please dont hurt me, please dont do anything wrong, please dont risk my life' he looked at me had a slight giggle and said with a serious face do your really expect me to do that come onnn dont be so sillllyyyyy!!! he really made me feel comfortable, felt like i could say anything to him, he's really kind and funny.
im sure dr C will do a great job, it really isn't painful at all, just uncomfortable but ur so sleepy throughout the first few days of recovery that you don't really notice!

Hi Tania, thanks for your reply. I live in Essex so my closest clinic is also London. I'm going to ring my Pc tomorrow & find out what surgeon I can have to do both. How exciting!!! X

Hi zoehayden85, i had my nose done in february with Dr. Gonshior and i am so happy with the results, he did everything i asked for and made it look amazing.

3 months have gone by now and i see it changing still every month, its given me so much more confidence.

Anyone having surgery with Dr Gonshior you are in fantastic hands!

Hi I am interested in seeing the pre/post op pics thanks..I'm interested in rhinoplasty and don't know which surgeon to go with? I have read about Mr Gonschior but not sure how good he really is, I am South Asian and have really thick skin and so would like to know of any specialist surgeons who have worked on South Asian patients.
