Hi just home from my ba and remembered about sleeping upright. Do we have to sleep upright? Why do we have to? And does it have to be right up straight or can I just be abit propped up?
Totally forgot what I got told and forgot to ask today.
    Thanks xx

Apparently it helps with swelling or something. And takes the pressure off. They told me be at about 45 degrees

I remember being told it’s something to do with the swelling / bruising too and don’t have to be completely sitting up…slightly tilted back is fine. There may be some bum and back aches lol but hopefully after your strapping comes off you can start to sleep near flat depending on what your nurse advises. Nurse advised I could start sleeping near flat when strapping came off at 1 week post op.

How was your first nights sleep? I woke up every half hour, was sick a lot and just woke up again in a lot of pain from under my breasts! Can’t feel my nose at all xx

Found sleeping hard. Was awake more of the night then asleep so just resting in bed today with ice packs and painkillers. Sorry your first night sounded so bad. Where they able to help or give you anything? Are you home yet? Hope your feeling abit better today still only the first 24 hours xx
