    Urgh, me again girls!!

Anyone else struggling to sleep? I know I’m only 2dpo but god I’m sick of not being able to sleep already. This is the first time I’ve woken up tonight which is good considering I was awake 7+ times in the night last night. However I did only go to bed at 12am to try and sleep through the night. I’m only getting a maximum of 3.5 hours before I’m wide awake in pain again. My back is killing me. I’m so stiff I can’t move myself to a more comfortable position and I’m absolutely terrified of splitting my wounds. Which I know is not going to happen but that’s how tight and uncomfortable I am 🙁

Any girls have any tips on what helped them sleep? Thankfully I’m working from home for 2 weeks so I can nap in the day, but ideally I’d prefer to sleep at night without such bloody pain 🙁 I’m holding off taking my medication until around 7am as I know il need it more then, is this a good idea? Last night I was staying at the Fitzroy so had medication on demand when needed. I know it will all be worth it, but at this time in the morning and with such tightness and uncomfortableness I’m struggling 🙁

Sorry for the negative post ladies xx

Don’t be sorry hun xx Its not negative x You just expressing yourself x. Did you try to put ice on your breasts? I had it on all day yesterday and it was helping me. Nurse said it will help with pain, sting and swelling. Maybe worth to try? I hope u will feel better soon. I think u be more comfortable tomorrow. Be strong and look down 🙂 They will look amazing 😉 xxx

I feel really silly and don’t want to sound like I keep moaning but I’m just not enjoying the night times. Although I did only wake twice last night which is a lot better than the night before so hopefully tonight is even better. Just uncomfortable and on top of my boobs feeling so heavy and my incisions feeling right I can feel the bottom of my strapping rubbing into a blister which is horrible 🙁 I’ve just woken up for some painkillers, I’m going to try and get another hours kip and then try the ice packs today. Did you just wrap them up and place them on your chest? My chest is so swollen, look like my boobs are knocking me out ha ha. Thanks for your message honey, it’s lovely having the support from other girls on this forum going through the same thing!! I know it will all be worth it in the end 🙂 how are you finding it all babes? Xx

I dreaded going to bed because my bum and back hurt, my surgeon said after 10-14 days I can sleep on my back so last night day 12 I did! My advice… do you have a V pillow? Put 2 big pillows behind, then the V pillow, then put one under your bum/thighs to relieve the pressure and one under calves helped me too. It isn’t forever even though I know it feels that way haha.

Bless you babes. I have a v pillow yes but I’ve actually been using a bed rest thing with lots of pillows propping against it. It’s working wonderfully, I’m not slipping down and I have pillows under my bum/ legs also. Just don’t find sleeping up right very comfortable at all! Lol. God I bet you can’t wait for the next few nights to be over so you can sleep on your back again. How are your boobs feeling now? I find it hard to believe that they won’t ever feel this bloody heavy! Xx

Hey babes x Ice packs are ace for me. Keep them all the time during day. Just put some ice into a plastic bag and wrap I sml towel. I do sit it on top and move them onto side of breasts under armpits. Mine are so heavy as well. In more pain that I was this morning. It’s so good to have other ladies communicate:) loads of stuff I know from this forum. Sleeping up its not that bad for me. Just waking up loads more but fine for now. Speak soon xxx

I haven’t read through all the comments but my mum swears by night nurse, it’s herbal. She does shift work and it knocks her out x

Hey ladies. Thanks for your comments. I spoke to the nurse who said Unfortunately im not allowed to take anymore tablets on top of the painkillers I’ve been prescribed already by mya. I think it’s more just the achy and backpain that’s keeping me awake. I’ve only had 3 nights of sleeping up right and I’m sick of it already lol. I didn’t wake as many times last night though so I’m hoping tonight is even better than that. I might try some night nurse though, I didn’t think about that. Once I’m asleep I’m ok, it’s trying to actually get to sleep that’s the problem and once I wake with pain I struggle to sleep again! Will all be worth it I know. Thank you all xx

I had my op yesterday and was an overnight case. Didn’t sleep at all last night been asleep for an hour today my back is killing me and I can’t get comfy. My strapping and bra are so tight and restrictive I hope it’s worth it hahaa xxx

Oh bless you honey. I hope you manage to sleep better tonight ! I haven’t had a great nights sleep the last 3 nights but I’m hoping tonight is better for me. Hang in there babes, I know the feeling. I had a cheeky peep down my strapping earlier and I can confirm that 3 days in it is looking to be worth it ha ha. The tightness I found the worst, it’s more uncomfortable and difficult to catch my breath more than actual pain I feel. Happy healing babes, make sure you have lots of pillows and keep on top of your meds x

Hey ladies I felt awful when I woke up yesterday morning. The tightness was almost unbareable. I was struggling to catch my breath and I couldn’t get comfortable with the burning sensation across my incisions. Although I woke up 3 times last night, i seemed to have a better night. I wasn’t in as much discomfort or pain. It just the annoyance of sleeping upright and not being able to get comfortable I think!! I’m getting a bit fed up with it all. However I feel like today is a progress on yesterday so I think every day is getting better. I’m only 4 days post op, but can’t wait to sleep normally again! Ha ha. Strapping is coming off on Tuesday (yay!!) can’t wait to see my new mates! Hope you feel better Joanne and the tightness wears off for your lovely, I know the pain I feel like I’ve been run over! So odd. stick with those ice packs like you adviced me 🙂

Bless you Chelsie, I think that’s the worst thing. Only being able to sleep for an hour or so at a time!! I hope you managed to get some sleep in the end. And don’t worry about buying crap, I’ve been doing it for 4 days ha ha. Makes me feel better when a parcel turns up at the door for me ha ha.

Cliona I was so glad I has the over night stay at the Fitzroy I was awake every hour asking for painkillers too although I felt the morphine helped me. I asked for it before the drive home and the nurse was more than happy to give it to me. How far have you got to travel home? Maybe do the same. I asked for an anti sickness tablet too as I was feeling a little woozy and couldn’t think of anything worse than a sicky painful drive back! The morphine worked and I managed to nod off for a hour. How are you feeling this morning? Good luck honey. Will all be worth it in the end. Xx

Day 5 and still having trouble sleeping :(. I mean it’s got better from day 1 post op but still not great. I’m a side sleeper & it’s hell sleeping propped up on my back. I have a V pillow which to begin with is so comfy but my bum is hurting so much from being in the same position for so long! We’re all in it together girls haha. Xx

I can totally relate to this post ladies! I’m POD4 and I’m in complete agony with my back/bum during the nights, I’m absolutely exhausted and just don’t know what to do to make it easier!!! I actually slipped down the bed last night and couldn’t push myself up, it felt like I was tearing my incisions!!! Then I tried to sleep on the edge of the bed to make it easier to get out of bed when I wake, still couldn’t, I actually threw myself off the bed, no joke! I’ve just taken some Naproxen and I have a hot water bottle on my back before attempting sleep. Please tell me this stops one day!!!!! 🙁 🙁 🙁 x

@naomie I was like that. I am 7DPO and it’s all gone! Yesterday was the first night I managed to sleep from 11 till 7 am.
The night before I was in such an agony that I turned other way round and put my feet on the wall, about 45 degrees too. It really released pressure on my back – give it a try. Also I was taking painkillers not really for my breast but for my back, right before getting to bed. But trust me few more days and it will be part of the past. Xx

Ooooooh no , yesssss Same here , I’m 8 days PO , walking about like a zombie during the day as awake most of night , sleeping 45 degrees is dreadful , I am a side sleeper & my neck , back & bum is so painful . I’ve got about 8 pillows inc V pillow , but yes agree a pillow under legs is a help .

Along with my incisions causing me major pain , all I can say is keep up with meds I’m only taking paracetamol in day & nurofen at night as I can’t take anything else , only thing getting me through is when I look at my new boobies it’s 100% worth it ! 100% I can’t tell you how happy I am it’s so worth the pain !!!!!

Omg ladies this post! I am struggling so badly with sleep deprivation! People always tell you about the pain of a boob job but nobody mentions the back/ bum pain and sleep deprivation! I am reallly struggling and I wake up every hour without fail. I’m walking around in the day like a zombie with two black eyes through lack of sleep. I took all the pillows off the sofa last night and put them
I’m the bed. Think I’m going crazy! X
