Heyy before my op I bought two Mya bras, I wore them them for about 3 days. But I found them so uncomfy 🙁 I bought the m&s ones and they are so much more comflrtable I can actually breath and move about in them. Xxx

Hi ladies, Does anyone know if the M&S offer as much support as the Macom bras. I’m not a mya patient, but my surgeon recommends the macom and they’ll fit me with one post surgery but I’m a bit worried that I’ve read reviews that they cause a lot of discomfort!! I will want to look after my new assets the very best I can (especially after the cost of them!) but I know that the recovery is likely to be pretty painful and uncomfortable as it is (with partials) so I don’t really want to add a stupidly uncomfortable bra to the mix also! I know you can’t be measured until you are 6wpo, but will M&S measure you for a high impact sports bra straight after surgery in order for you to be in the correct size during recovery?! Thanks in advance for any help!! X

Hi Hun the mya bra do up st the back but to be honest I’ve not found that a problem I got them as you got two for £60 so not much diff to buying 2 M&s or any other post op bras I think it’s people’s personal preference really on what the find comfy don’t find comfy xxx

I bought a macom signature bra which I’ve lived in since my op on the 1st June; it’s not that uncomfortable to be honest and I found as it’s slightly longer in length it didn’t rest on my scars which has helped massively with healing well I’m sure 🙂
Last week I bought one of the 25 pound zip front sports bras from m&s as well to rotate and wear to work in the day, as it’s thicker cotton so gives a better shape under a top than the Macom I feel- really pleased with this one too! Shape goes well under a tank top too 🙂
I also bought a sweaty betty front zip sports bra which make your boobs look AMAZING but it does squish them together so haven’t worn it properly yet before I check with the nurse haha – but I recommend as a sports bra anyhow; I think I will be living in this one when I’ve got the go ahead! Feels great and looks great too 😀

I’ve got the high impact m&s and find them pretty comfy tbh!
As for pain with partials – I’ve not had any & not needed any pain relief (other than an ice pack) xx

i have a macom bra and an M& S bra and find I have things that I love about both really well – overall they are both very very supportive though 🙂 I love the macom during this heat as well as the fact the lower band helps with back pain and doesnt irritate my incisions, but i hate how it looks under tops etc – the m&s on the other hand looks amazing feels as great as the macom to me too, but is much tighter around incisions which is painful/slows their healing and also after a while the thicker straps etc becomes annoying and hard on your back, and thats when i switch to macom because they have lovely thin straps… so basically yeah i love both and theyre both amazing post op bras IMO, and because it’s super duper hard having only ONE bra I would recommend you pick up 2 or 3 bras for the 6 week recovery duration (I have three Post OP bras) 🙂 xxx

Thank you all. I think I will let them put a macom on me after surgery and then as soon as I’m up to it I’ll pop to M&S to get a second/third bra for the 6 weeks as I have absolutely no idea what size I’m going to need! Sometimes I’m worried that I’ll still feel like they’re too small and it’ll be a lot of money to still feel unhappy and then other times I’m petried that they are going to be too big for my small frame, I don’t want to look ridiculous! !! I told surgeon I wanted a D/DD (I said DD only because I know they measure bigger than they look) and he said that I’d struggle to achieve that from an A cup but I know on here that’s Girls most certainly have with the same size implant that I’m having! This BA malarkey really is a minefield, I’ll be glad when they’re in lol x

@Louise yeah honey that’s literally what I did… surgeon put me in my Macom and then literally the next day I went to buy an M&S bra, because pre-op I had no idea what size to buy xxx
