Still researching!

I am still researching, I haven’t booked my initial consultation yet but I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how long they had to wait between the initial consultation day and the day of the op? Is the waiting list like months? I am wanting it down around march time so I’m just wondering if that is realistic or not? Also, what happens on the day of your first consultation and how do people know which surgeons are good and which aren’t so good?!
