Stitches after 6 weeks?

Hi girls I’m 7 weeks post op and still have 2 stitches in one boob around the nipple! They’ve got so thick and rough there poking through my Macom and ones become really inflamed and painful like sharp shooting pains when the stitch moves around inside I’m worried it could be touching nerves etc? I’ve rung up MYA they said they’d get back to me but haven’t yet … Just a bit worried has anyone had similar and are you even supposed to have stitches left 7 weeks po?! Xx

@Georgina i think you should ring them again because it sounds as though those last 2 stitches may need to be removed. If the skin is inflamed it could be setting up an infection ? If Mya don’t appear to be helping you , maybe book in with your doctors and they should be able to remove them for you xx

I had to have a stitch removed at 6 weeks hun as it was stopping the area from healing properly… It was great for a couple of days but I’m keeping an eye on it as I think there might be more starting to pop out… I’m 7 weeks xo

@rachelellious thank you you were right! Has turned infected now swollen more and filled with puss and MYA have said they need to see me before the weekend but basically can’t fit me in.. They told me not to go to the doctors but as its getting worse but I might have to seeing as they can’t fit me in! It’s a bit annoying really because at the end of they day we have paid a lot of money and if as MYA said it is a ‘medical emergency’ then they shouldn’t say they can’t fit us in because there’s no appointments they are still a medical institution and especially if it’s an emergency they should be saying come down no matter what not no sorry no appointments til next Tuesday.. That doesn’t seem like much of an emergency to me! Shame because MYA have been great so far just feel a bit let down by this as they’ve made me panic then said no we can’t fit you in?! Xx

@xxcsb wasn’t even checked to see if I had stitches in! No mention of it at all at 6 week check… Oh yeah I suppose it depends how deep its gone, hope your okay lovely xx

@Georgina I would go to your doctors if MYA are unwilling to see you before the weekend. You shouldn’t have to wait 5 days to be seen .. At least your doctors are medically trained so they know what they are doing if they decided to remove those stitches. Otherwise you may end up in more pain over the weekend 🙁 Hope you get sorted soon hun good luck xx
