Stomach bloating help

Hi,

I am 6 days post op and my belly is so bloated! I have just come on to my period but can I ask how long before your bloating went down?

I’m hoping soon as I’m starting to think I’ve just become a fat cow lol

Girllll I feel you. I’m also 6DPO today and the bloating is real. It’s absolutely horrendous…apparently it’s very very common and due to the anaesthetic plus antibiotics/pain killers post surgery. I literally look 6 months pregnant. It’s so depressing!!! It’s like we have amazing boobs and then a fat tummy 🙁 it’s not okay haha.

A lot of girls have said it goes down between 10 days – 2 weeks. I really hope so!! I’ve come off all my meds now apart from a few ibruprofen, I’ve done two walks today and I’m drinking loads of water so hopefully in the next week it will go down!!! Xx

I’m 5dpo and I’m so bloated I look horridous my bellys getting bigger than my new boobs no joke honestly it’s soo depressing my skins all greasy aswell I look a right mess esp with the heat aswell I’m a size 14 too soo can’t even pull the bloated tummy look off xxx

It took about 2 weeks for mine to die down. I feel your pain however its very short term ladies. Take comfort in that it will go pretty soon after you stop the meds

Hi! I’ve been bloated and sore since 1dpo. I’ve stopped all meds except antibiotics since last night and I’ve never been on codiene so it’s not that. I’m drinking gallons of water but it’s so uncomfortable. My waist is 3 inches bigger! Apparently swelling migrates downwards and it’s completely normal and we just have to put up with it. Drink loads of water and don’t put a bikini on yet xx

I’m 11DPO and my swelling went down massively at 8days. I’m still not totally back to how I was pre op, but I no longer look like I’m pregnant haha. It will go down, the cocodamol definitely doesn’t help x

Thanks ladies. I stopped the co codamol this morning so only on penicillin now. Ahh the greasy skin was a nightmare but luckily that has stopped now. I will wait patiently for my bloat to bugger off x
