Strapping off.. What to expect?! 😣😓

Hiya everyone,
I’m just wondering what it’s like getting strapping off? I’ve only just had my surgery done but already worrying about having the strapping off. Does it hurt? Do they just rip it off? 😐✋ What shall I expect?

I’m worried too because when the nurse took my drains out yesterday the most painful bit of the whole day was when he pulled a bit of the strapping aside! I’m dreading it but it’s annoying me already because it’s soooooo tight feel like I can’t breathe properly 😂 it will be a relief to have it off xx

I’m the same Sarah! It’s ridiculously tight isn’t it 😕 I didn’t have drains so I don’t know about that hun 👎 I’m aching like mad 😕 xx

@paigesennett I’m getting mine off on Saturday so i will let you know what it’s like if I get it taken off before you 😂 xx

I took my strapping off myself day 4 it didn’t hurt I was expecting it to though! Xxx

Yeah thanks Sarah, that would be great, I get mine off on 30th June 😊 And Micha aren’t you meant to wait a week for the nurse to take them off? Xx

A lot of girls get the go ahead from the nurse to take it off themselves st day 4! Xxx

Hey girls I get my strapping of on Thursday so will let you know how it goes. Some of the strapping has already come away under my arm pits and that didn’t hurt really. I think it’s best to get it a little wet before then is comes of easy peasey xx

It doesnt hurt it’s just like pulling a plaster off! 🙂 you get that annoyed with the strapping and anxious to see your new boobs that you cant wait to get it off! :p xx

I have had a bit of a difficult recovery but every day has got better i’m POD4 and it’s the best day by far! Can only get better now xx

It doesn’t hurt at all the nurse runs something on it when pulling off which stops the plaster sticking x
