time off work

do people get sick time off? doctor signs you off or you have to take holiday?

i had to take mine off as holiday x

I was given a GP note after my op, I had a reduction so work and my GP saw it as a health reason. You should talk to your employer and see where you stand.

im taking mine off sick, my surgeon wrote a note for me to hand in at work for ‘Elective Surgery’ obviously each place is different mine were fine with it so far xx

hi i went to see my doctor and he said he would sign me off from 2 weeks to a 1 month depending on how i am feeling/recovering. I don’t think i would take a whole month off lol! probably 2 weeks the most x

Hiya, this specfic doctor i seen was really lovely if i asked another doctor in my surgery they would probably say no lol. Just say to your doctor that your surgery is all booked and ask do you need to be signed off work because you have no holiday left at work and obviously you won’t be able to move much so can they sign you off? 🙂 xx @roseyx
