thank you girls. I’m out now just feel a little sick! had some anti sickness and a buscuit just waiting for my sandwich I’m staving! not as in as much pain as I thought I would be but that could be as I’m drugged up at the minute haha! xx

Do you mind me asking who your surgeon was? I’ve been cancelled at Preston today (after an awful 2.5 hour drive and NO phone call Mya) so upset aso just wondered if you had any issues after your admission?

@gemsq no problem chick my surgeon was Mr Traynor. what no way??? did they tell you why they cancelled you?? my admission time got moved from 8.00AM until 1.00PM and then 2.00PM but didn’t go down until 20 to 5 and just got out about 10 minutes ago. I felt poorly though so not sure if they kept me in a little longer because of that. I can’t believe they made you go there to cancel! are they going to reschedule?? xx

I am using Mr Mounir, Mya allegedly called me to cancel at 1:15pm (no missed calls, no texts, no emails) My admission time was 2pm also and the receptionist just looked at me all sheepish and the hospital manager came and took me in the private room.

Apparently there was an accident in surgery at 12:00 which resulted in all surgery being cancelled?? I’m furious, I’ve already booked this week off work and can’t change my hols so now have to take another extra 5 days annual leave unpaid. Not to mention my Husband who had today off, the costs of travelling plus the hotel stay last night then the sheer disppointment on top of it.

Mya still haven’t phoned me!! There will be a few sharp words on an email waiting for them tomorrow @ Nottingham clinic.

You know how it is….you get yourself all geared up and nervous/excited and now we’ve had to drive all the way back at quite a cost to us. So unimpressed!!

We researched which company to use extensively and made an educated decision and now I just feel foolish and let down ?

…and they want me to ‘nip bback’ on Thursday ? nip back 240 miles. Fgs x

@gemsq that’s absolutely shocking I can’t believe that they would call you at that time when your admission time was 2!! I’m not surprised your going to send them an email I would aswell I would request my money back! don’t get me wrong they’re all lovely at Preston its the clinic that has let you down! hope everything gets sorted for you chick I bet you feel so let down. you’ll get sorted in the end and it’ll all be worth it! let me know. the clinics aren’t too good I don’t think they didn’t even tell me which hospital I was at I showed up at the wrong bloody hospital before I got there today haha! xx

@gemqs I think something must’ve happened yesterday with dr Mounir, I had him, my admission was at 11 so I didn’t eat six hours before, only had sips of water like they asked but the nurse came in and said there were delays so I didn’t go into theatre until 4:30pm! I can understand how frustrated you were, my boyfriend had to wait for me and I didn’t get discharged until 11pm! Was alittle annoying but I have boobs now so I’m not complaining haha? You’ll be getting your boobs soon and it’ll all be worth it Hun x

I had mine done yesterday with mr traynor I didn’t have my operation until 7pm so think something was going on yesterday I ended up leaving at nearly midnight. Shannon did you see mr traynor in theatre or after your op?.

I didn’t go for my op until 6pm my admission time was 2pm. Didn’t leave till 11pm. Mr Traynor called to check on me in my room after surgery but not sure what time as I was sleepy x

@deect I seen Mr Traynor before my op when he came in to draw on me, then when I came out of recovery I got put back in my room and he came to check on me about 20 minutes after that. I took a bad turn and felt really poorly so he came to check on me before he left that was about 8:8.30 I think! Xx

sorry for all the questions but did either of you get any information about the implants for the warranty? Like information of the type of reference numbers ? Who fitted you with your bra the nurse?. I was ok after the surgery just stinging but they couldn’t wake me up in recovery which is normal for me after surgery. Mr traynor had to wake me up to draw on me I was fast asleep haha x

@deect yeah babe I did I got a pack with my medication in with a booklet of which implants I had and a letter for my GP.
my nurse fitted my bra for me but I took loads and none of them fit my mam had to go buy some more haha! I’ve never been put to sleep before that was my first time and was poorly when I came round I felt really sick and stuff so didn’t get out until late xx

Hello ladies,

I completely understand that the surgery can’t go ahead if any of us are put in any danger whilst under anaesthetic it’s just the fact that I STILL haven’t received a call from Mya. That’s my gripe. I’ve emailed this morning and listed my concerns but still no bloody answer!

All I can say is roll on Thursday when it finally (hopefully) happens and we can all pop on here to share our stories. I just wish that my experiences had been better so far as this is meant to be a magical journey without stress.

So glad to hear that everyone finally got seen and had successful surgery without any complications. Hope you all have fast and easy recoveries xx

Gemma I’m so sorry that happened to you. I can’t even begin to imagine how stressful and upsetting it must have been. I hope everything goes ok on Thursday and that you are on here saying you are pleased with your new boobs. I hope you get some sort of compensation for your costs and inconvenience. Take care xx

I thought that they could have atleast had the decency to contact you! I would ring them and make sure your surgery is definitely going to go ahead on Thursday. if it does good luck for then babe I’m sure it’ll be worth it! still shouldn’t have had to go through what you have at the start though! take care and let me know how you get on @gemsq xx

I’ve finally had a call. I’m being reimbursed for fuel and my husbands day off work, but I had to stifle a giggle when I was told it will take 28 days to hit my account ? I have to call First Trust Thursday morning to give them an arrival time and they offered to move me up the list and give a preferential surgery slot.

I’ve turned down any preferential treatment as other girls shouldn’t suffer the same fate as me, it just doesnt seem fair. I just want to go and have it done, get my boobies and start all the boxsets I’ve been saving up for duvet days ?

I didn’t get the booklet but spoke to my pc today and she’s arranged for it to be Posted today. Also spoke to the nurse and they said to go in today if I was worried but couldn’t get in and out of my mums car to go the clinic so not gone. Did mr traynor check over your implants? Shannon are you feeling ion now? My friend was the same after her op. I think I’m one of the lucky ones.
Gemma I am so sorry you had such a crap experience. Do you not have regular contact with your patient coordinator. Mine has been so helpful and provided me with lots of reassurance today. Fingers crossed for Thursday. Xx

@deect no he didn’t check my implants the nurse checked them before putting my bra on and then before I got discharged another nurse checked them and made sure I could walk about properly. I feel okay today I’ve had abit to eat and took all my painkillers I just feel sick every now and then and I’m a little sore. how are you? xx

@shannoncann just saw your reply sorry. How are you feeling now. I’ve had to take another week off due to pain. My left boob feels heavier like I can feel the inplant but not my right it’s weird. What pain killers where you discharged with? Was you given anything to help with stomach like Senna? I didn’t get given a booklet about my implants I just got sent out a sheet of paper with 2 stickers on with reference numbers about implants?
I went to my 1 week post op appointment and haven’t fully healed so got to go back next week. But in this weather my dressings are coming off so going to ring them tomorrow as worried about infection. Can’t wait to be able to shower wash my hair and drive. X

@gemsq. I was also cancelled on the 11th just as I was setting off an hour before my admission time .
I was gutted I was in with mr traynor and astounded that although theyd said they couldn’t work in an unsafe environment other ladies were been operated on that day !
I too am been compensated it ruined what should of been a really exciting time xx

@deect I’m completely fine now chick. I stopped taking all pain killers after 3 days I was out for a meal on the Saturday of that week and now I can just about do everything myself washing my hair etc. not meant to drive until tomorrow but I drove to my nanas today, she only lives 10 minutes away and it was completely fine. back to work tomorrow. I was discharged with anti biotics, paracetamol and Ibrufen. I’ve not had anything for my tummy I wasn’t too bad to be fair I just ate high protein and chicken. I’ve been drinking a lot of fresh juices so think that’s helped too. my one week check up I got my dressings changed then back on Wednesday to get them changed again. still can’t shower got to have shallow baths. hope your okay soon babe!! X

@shannoncann aww thank you I am feeling so much better this week. glad to hear you are ok I just think I must be abit soft haha. I’m back in work too now just hard with not carrying /lifting. Not drove yet but going to tomorrow as I need my car for work feel like ice forgot how to drive. My left side still feels heavier, when i lie down I can feel the implant inside but the nurse has been great and reassured me it is because it has dropped and I have noticed the right is now dropping. I have had some back ache aswell. I can’t fault the nurses they have been great. Got to keep my dressings on for one more week but they are heeling well
and are so neat. Xx

@deect ah good atleast your feeling better now! I felt the exact same about driving but was okay when it come to it, just found it difficult putting it into fifth gear but turning corners etc was fine. I’ve got my 2 week check up tonight so hopefully get to see my incisions then! xx
