I had my surgery done on 14th feb so I’m 9dpo and I’ve been using the mya bras, but I’m worried there not suportive enough or would it be to late to make a difference now? I’m paranoid I’m not doing something right lol xx

    Hi chick

I’ve not had mine done yet ( 10 days) but I’d defiantly advise on the Macom if you feel they ain’t surported, your still in early stages & it wouldn’t do no harm & would definitely give you better support with the Macom as they change Hun! I ordered mine only 2 days ago & it arrived this morning, happy healing x

Haven’t heard much about the MYA bras but I had my op on Tuesday 21st and have worn my Macom ever since and it’s been brilliant, so comfy! X

Why is it so important the breasts are supportive? I’m panicking as currently laying here post ob and the bra the hospital want me to wear is not particularly supportive.

    Hey ladies

each surgeon has their preferred bra post op. Mine Dr Fiumara for example doesn’t promote macoms at all and prefers simple 100% cotton sports bras that do not compress the breast at all!!!
So that’s the total opposite to the macom bras

Prior to this I went out and bought about three different styles for post op and brought them to see her a week before my op for her opinion as I didn’t want to have something she didn’t approve of
As suggested by my surgeon I wore a basic sloggi crop top that was two band sizes bigger to accommodate the swelling. I was under the impression that I would need two post op bras (wear one wash one) but I stayed in the same one all week. I couldn’t move my arms much and lived on shallow baths and in my giant primark onesie.

Post op I have been wearing primark seamless crop tops (2 pack for five quid) and seamless non wired rouble layered bras (15 each) by John Lewis.

The nurses and my surgeon were quite impressed with the John Lewis bra because it’s made really well is supportive and double layered which is great if ur nipples are permanently hard after the op. mine were like rockets for nearly two months and I was really conscious of it

Listen to the advice of your surgeon and paperwork you were given pre op as its all personalised depending on what you’re having and ur surgeon. Thr forum js great for advice and swapping ideas but u really need to follow the advice of ur surgeon. It’s like make up tutorial on you tube there are many ways to get to a final result when contouring and some people use little random hacks that are wildly different fro. Others for example I saw a girl apply her make up with a blown up condom because the latex texture was apparently perfect for the finish?!!?

    Anyhow hope that helps fxxx
