    Hi everyone,
Can anyone who has had twilight sedation let me know their experiences on this? Personally, I prefer the idea of not being in a deep sleep, I like the fact that I could (If not too drowsy) speak to the nurses/surgeon whilst having my procedure, to some people this might sound bizarre. I suffer from really bad anxiety so the thought of being able to speak to someone if I’m panicking is a relief however after reading up on it, some people are just zonked out right from the beginning and remember nothing, even if they managed to have a conversation whilst in surgery they forget afterwards? Anyhow I was just wondering if people could share their experiences on this, also how did you feel when you came round, did you feel confused etc. Thanks, & sorry to anyone who keep’s reading my topics on being scared of ‘sedation’ xxx

    Hi

I had LA with twilight sedation last week, at first just felt like i was drunk and then i think i fell to sleep as i dont remember much after the first 5 mins or so. was going home an hour after going back to my room so recovery is really quick.

My problem is I over read, and read on the internet which is bad! I’ve had my surgery booked for 2 months now and have kinda put it to the back of my mind but recently have started thinking more about it. The thought of general anaesthesia is just a no go for me. x

I had GA with my op yesterday but did have a local last year with my wisedom tooth removal. I was totally out of it in both cases and there was absolutely no way that I would have been able to have spoken to anyone hun- sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear. Saying that though they did tell me with my local I wouldn’t be totally out of it and would be able to see what was going on- I obviously just don’t react very well with anaesthetic at all x

I had local and sedation on 10th June. I was asleep from start to finish they actually had to wake me up after. I talked to the nursing staff but I was out before Dr Kazzazi came in the room. I would still recommend this though. I was a little sick afterwards and felt groggy. The plus for me was I could go home after xx

How is the clinic? I had a drive the other day to have a look at it and was shocked It just looks like an house! Probably better for my benefit anyway as hospitals freak me out. How long was you waiting before you had your surgery, like from the time you was admitted to the time you had your surgery? And thanks Lenna, I’d rather people tell me their experiences anyway as then I’m not going in expecting something totally different. I’ve been put under GA about 16 years ago but never under for anything since so bit nervous but guess we all are! x

That’s the other thing, I’ve a phobia of being sick as well! Fingers crossed I wont end up being sick. I heard they can give you anti-sickness tablets but Il just see what they say on the day. Thanks Jemma! How long was you waiting after being admitted to going down for it doing if you don’t mind me asking? xx

I had sedation 4 days ago! She put the stuff in my drip and said “you’ll feel a bit hazy”. Next thing I know I was back in my room! I even asked if I said anything and the nurse said I just went to sleep! When I came round I just felt a bit tipsy! It’s not scary at all and you don’t feel sick afterwards. My admission time was 8:30 and I was home by 1:30pm and I live just under an hour away from the Doncaster clinic. Hope this helps! Xx

Oh thanks Lauren! Thanks to you all as well.. Out of everything it is the sedation that is worrying me the most but after reading everyone’s experience I do feel a little better so thanks.. I live about 30minutes from the Doncaster clinic so haven’t got far to travel at all.. Did any one get told how long they were in surgery for ? – Another one of my weird questions xx

My admission time was 3 it went really fast to be honest. It does look like a house but not on the inside very white and clean. The lady who was like front of house was lovely as I was nervous. A nurse came and out and the anaesthetist and finally Dr Zazzazi to draw on me. I think this was the worst part for me. I was really embarrassed lol. I think I went down at 3.45. I was in for a while but that was due to my oxygen saturations and I had some extra skin removed.
Hope you enjoy and love your new boobs xxx
