Hey Hun, Unders take longer to heal so I wouldn’t simply go for it just because that’s what everyone else is having. You generally only need unders if you have very little breast tissue on top so that the implant isn’t as visible. If you don’t agree with why the surgeon has chosen overs then have a chat with them. I also think it’s to do with how saggy your breasts are to begin with! I have a lot of breast tissue (34 c/d) but am having partials….

I think there must be benefits to both, but from what I’ve read the healing process and final result with unders is long, ( I’m nearly 3 weeks post op with unders and I’m happy and mobility is pretty much perfect now) .. But things such as breast feeding, easier mammograms etc are a benefit.. But I had no boobs at all! So had no choice so I havnt looked into overs at all.
I do believe the surgeon knows what the best look for you is, but if there are reasonings behind wanting to change I would look into it all first or chat with him/her xxxx

My pc told me to have input in the size choice but leave the placement and profile to the surgeons as there is alot that they have to take into account when choosing and they will know what will be best for you. You can always ask why they have chosen what theyve chosen if you are unsure ablut their choice, this will definatley reassure you! X
