Ladies, how long until you can have a shower? I’ve heard sometimes a week and sometimes two.
How do you all wash in the meantime?
I’m a complete clean freak and not being able to have a shower worries me ??
So if anyone has any tips I’d be very grateful x

I was allowed to shower 8 days after my surgery and I’ve had no problems at all. I’m now almost 3 weeks post op xx

I’m like you I have to shower or bath every day! I’ve been having shallow baths. Washing my bottom half normally and then just ringing the flannel out so its not dripping wet and washing my top half that way. I’ve felt pretty clean afterwards and not used any baby wipes! I’m 10 days post op and have another check up on Tuesday. Not been given the all clear for a shower yet! x

I had waterproof dressings so could shower the next day after my drains were taken out. I was quite surprised when I got there and her said I’d be able to shower the next day because I’ve heard on here people say they haven’t been able to. I’m not a mya patient though xx

I was allowed to shower 7 days after my op – however im just the same I need to wash every day so shallow baths and using a flannel to ‘clean’ was fine for me. x

i know these are pretty much the same as wetwipes but i use them for my daughter (for medical reasons can only bath 2 a week) and they leave her sooo much fresher than baby wipes, they are bit more expensive tho. the Johnson and johnson washcloths no need for water or drying, ive just got these and will attempt a shallow bath https://groceries.asda.com/product/baby-bath/johnsons-toptotoe-baby-washcloths/910002271931
