What is a donut lift?

Hi Girls

Im booked in 27th Jan for implants & Full Anchor lift eith Gary Traynor (mya) on one breast only ( I have a big difference in breast size) but i am worried about the fact that i will still have breasts that look completly different due to scarring. He didnt discuss any different uplifts & its only from reading on here that i know there are different ones. What is a donut lift & Would i be better of asking for this instead of Anchor. I have another consultaion beginning of Jan as trying to lose a stone before op.

Hi Paulat,

I am booked in for the 28th Jan for near eanough exactly the same operation as you.
I have got one C/D and one DD boob so I am having an uplift and small low profile implants to make them about an E. I am having the uplift on both because I want them to look the same. I only really needed the uplift on one boob but he said I would benefit in the longterm from having them both done.
I am going to have a scar around my nipple and down.
Like you, I have my last consultation on Jan 7th so have to make up my mind about the size by then.

What size are you now and what implants size are you going for?

Hiya Melissa

I have got a c/d and a a/b so they look really odd they weren't to bad until i breastfed but now they are awful. I am hoping to go to dd or E, I am trying to lose a stone by op date (last of baby weight) so we didnt discuss sizes in that much detail as he said the weight loss could affect my size again. I have lost 8 half lbs so far so well on my way to acieve my target. As my small boob is really small theres no way i need uplift there but if possible dont want the vertical scar. Think i need to do some more reasearch dont i? Its really hard isnt it cos after paying all thnis money you want the best possible boobs. Are you excited? I am but also really nervous - just want them to be right lol!!! xxx

Hi,

I have done alot of research and looked at alot of pictures and from the pictures the vertical scar becomes so faint you can bearly see it after a year. There is a girl on here called Janey22, she showed me her pictures of the uplift and implants - on sofeminie.She has pictures from the beginning to 1 year on so you can get an idea of what they will look like. They look great!
So that gives me faith that they will look good! I think you will have to use creams etc to help but Im hoping my surgeon will give me some when I go see him on the 7th. I am worried about the pain after though! Apparantly its not bad for the first 2days cause you have so much pain relief but on the 3rd day your chest feels tight. I have taken 2 weeks off tho so should be ok by then!
Are you having different sizes implants then?
Who is your surgeon?
I am so excited but like you I am terrified and I dont want to chose the wrong size implants...i would be so upset if they were to big or to small! and when you pay all this money you just want them to be fab!

Hiya

I have just seen sum pics on sofeminine and she has had a crescent lift, which involves scaring just round the nipples hers look great already & she is only a couple weeks post op. I think i will ask about that when i see ps its just soo worrying i wish id just booked it & had it done the next day would have been easier haha!!
I have a one yr old baby so hoping i will be ok, my hubby is of for 8 days but im on my own after that :(.
Yes i am having diff size implants not sure what size yet, im having Gary Traynor seen some really good work of his & he seems to be good doing the natural look which is what i want.
Oh well not long to go now is there soon be here!!!!! haha!!

Hi Guys, I have my consultation Friday and I too am looking for both a lift and implants, can I ask what price you were given for this op? Also can they do it all at the same time?

Hi I am having either the cresent or donut lift but won't know which one till I come out of theatre, also having 485 over the muscle and my creases lowered as I have a restricted crease. I thought I had very tuberous breasts but been informed they are slightly with just a restricted fold.. Also having Mr Traynor too at Preston First Trust x
