Dr mounir told me after 2 weeks after having my BA I could go back to the gym to train legs. But how long before you can train upper body? I’m Having my BA on the 11th of may so just want to have a rough idea of when I can go back to training afterwards. I know everyone’s healing and recovery time is different but just want a ‘rough idea’ .thanks.xxxx

Really!? My surgeon said nothing only walking for 6 weeks. Soemthing to do with avoiding internal bleeding and high bp. I was naughty n did legs very like 2 weeks post op and tbh it was so limited. It’s 6 weeks I have 7 days till I cam train again I would listen to the surgeon yiu don’t want to ruin your expensive new boobies! Xx

My surgeon, Dr Fiumara, told me not to do any upper body exercise for 3 months after surgery. I think different doctors give different recommendations, but the usual one is 6 weeks off and then start slowly. Good luck!

I didn’t get a request? Add me again 🙂 it is soon my surgeon is so strict on the gym strictly 6 weeks. Even said stay out of gym to do walking because of the mental state. If I go gyn for cardio I won’t be able to help myself lifting heavy weights and doing injury! All I did was walks places. I would just say keep a clean diet it’s only 6 weeks out of yor whole life! Muscle memory is magical ; ) time goes by so quick I was so depressed not going to the gym but it’s flew by!! 11 may my surgeon will give me the okay. Even when I did to cheeky legs you tense chest sometimes without realising! Xx

@salwa1996 I’ve added you again now. my partner is a personal trainer and runs his own studio/gym….its going to kill me seeing him go everyday!haha. But I’ll just take your advice and won’t even step foot through the door. Best to let them heal properly rather than cause damage. I’ll keep my protein intake high though. I’m having unders so I defo need to stay away from the weights I think.xxxx

@heidianne14 Hi Heidi, I had my surgery 7 days ago (300cc high profile unders), and at this stage I can’t even think about exercising! I usually train 6 days a week, doing a mixture of weight lifting, spinning, yoga, body pump, tennis, etc. I was so worried about not being able to go back to the gym – I thought my body would fall apart! Now I’m much more positive, trying to eat very clean and reduce my calorie intake a little bit – no more cakes and sweets! I will also start walking as soon as I can and maybe do some gentle lower body exercises in a week or so. I think 6 weeks will pass very quickly and sometimes it’s good to give our bodies a break and once we start the new routine the body will respond very quickly. I’m so excited about my new breasts and wouldn’t want to do anything to make any damage. One of the main reasons for surgery was for me to look good in my gym tops as I was getting really fed looking flat in my padded bras! Good luck with your surgery! Please add me again as the link didn’t work. Xx

I’ve cancelled and re-added you both again now. I can see my diet going off track for maybe the first week or so. I think I’ll make some protein brownies after the first week then hopefully I’ll get back on track. Everyone needs a week of carbbing up right?hahaah. I’m the same….wanted a BA for 10 years (since I was 16) but even more so after breastfeeding my twins and it’s got to the point where padded bras don’t do anything to me anymore! Xxxx

Loving the protein brownie idea! I try to follow a clean eating diet so will try and stick to that. But recently got into kettle bell training and 3mths off will be too long! But can manage 6 weeks x

Sophie did you do a ba story/post? I was looking for it and wondered if I missed it. Was looking for it as your stats were very similar to mine xx

@wendyj Hi Wendy, no I haven’t yet, but I will later today and will also post some photos. Still very bruised though so I might need to wait a bit. Love kettlebells too and even have got some at home in my kitchen and usually do some swings / squats when I cook! They will have to wait 🙁 xx

Yeah u should feel pretty much back to normal by 6 weeks or before it even but I’d defo hold back on the weights til 6 weeks. I can’t wait to get back at it but am defo gonna take it slow n light ish n work my way up again, don’t wanna do any damage.xx

just trained chest and biceps for the last time for moSt probably at least 7 weeks….I’m having unders so might be more than 6 weeks after before I can train chest again 🙁 yeah defo take it slowly. Think I’ll go lighter with more reps when I start back.xxxx

No probs I’ll add u now hun
I had unders aswel but this was my second ba. Had the first one in 2007, was in a lot of pain after that one but this time round it wasn’t bad at all. Before the first one tho I didnt train at all but have been for the last 5 yrs n I think that reduces the pain cos uve worked ur chest muscles so it’s not as big a shock to the muscle altho I think cos the pocket was already made first time round that would have been what made it easier this time round too. I wanted to go back to the gym by week 2 but wasn’t allowed lol. What size r u now hun what u havin?xx

@kitty yeah I hope you’re right that training chest helps with the pain of having unders…glad it didn’t hurt u as much this time around. I’m a 32A and having 400 uhp. Hopefully I’ll be a DD… anythings better than these two little fried eggs!hahah. Xxxx

Lol i know how u feel cos I was tiny before my first ba I was a 32a then had 300cc moderate unders which took me to a small 32c. After a while I started wearing heavily padded bras to get the look I wanted then end of March I had 550cc high profile unders n I’m a 32f now. Don’t worry too much about the pain it’s kind of like uve done an extra hard work out at the gym and that way where even tryin to sit up is difficult or lifting ur arms lol give it a few days tho n it gets easier n easier xx

I love it too 🙂 u no uve worked hard then 🙂 400 UHP will get u 2 a good size hun. I wasn’t offered ultra high profile but theyl give u even more projection won’t they? Pretty sure ul get to about an E cup 🙂 xx

Just reading your reply @kitty and my face light up!! I’d bloody love a E!hahah. He wouldn’t offer me more than 400 so I suppose whatever size I get, if I think it’s too small then I just have to remember he wouldn’t offer me more anyway 🙂
Yeah defo, you know then that you’ve had a good workout. Xxxx

🙂 yeah I honestly think ul get to that size easily 🙂 but yeah like u said he hasn’t offered u any bigger than that anyway and the surgeons know what theyre doin 🙂 i think a lot of girls have the dreaded boob greed where they wish they had bigger but then they remember what they had before the ba n soon start to love them. I think girls get used to the size they r when they’re rly swollen aswel n when that settlers sometimes they feel they look smaller but to b honest a lot of the time with unders they actually appear bigger when they ‘drop’ n ‘fluff’ as they put it lol. They just aren’t as high rising as they r when they r first done. And even if they r that wee bit smaller than u would have liked u get amazin bras that can give u that oomf 🙂 xx

@kitty yeah you’re defo right…I’m already getting boob greed and haven’t even had them yet!haha. But from being on this site and speaking to people that have been through it like u…twice. I know that all these feelings are normal and I will be happy with what I get. I think with unders event hough I might THINK they are smaller when they drop and fluff but I also see girls with unders complaining about how high and daft they look before they drop. So I think I’ll be glad once they drop eventhough I may think they seem smaller. But having said that…like u, u got.measured and then once they had dropped u measured bigger again. So I’ll just keep that in my mind 🙂 xxxx

Yeah am sure ul b happy with ur end result hun 🙂 i don’t think mine look like an f but on a small frame u always measure bigger in the cup. Don’t worry all will b fine just b excited for new boobies n all the lovely clothes u can wear with full confidence 🙂 🙂 xx
