What is Dermaroller™/Micro Needling?

• Micro Needling is a skin treatment which uses a device made up of many micro-medical needle-columns and this is rolled across your chosen area of skin.
• MYA use Genuine Dermaroller ™ therapy which stimulates the skin to regenerate and repair naturally, forming new collagen and generating healthy new skin cells.

What can Dermaroller™ do for me?

• It is suitable to treat all skin types , both the face and body.
• Dermaroller ™ is used to treat:
- Scarring
- Acne scars
- Fine Lines and Wrinkles
- Stretch Marks
- Sun Damage
- Pigmentation

How do they work?

• The dermaroller device is made up of many micro-medical needle-columns.
• When rolled across your chosen area the dermaroller device makes many tiny perforations in the skin.
• The results are achieved in a natural way by stimulating the skin to regenerate and repair, forming new collagen and generating healthy new skin cells for that flawless, radiant appearance.

When will I see results?

• The treatment instantly starts working to rejuvenate and renew your complexion and the benefits take up to six weeks to become noticeable.
• Depending on the results you wish to achieve, the practitioner will usually advise a course of 3 treatments, 6 weeks apart

How long do the results last for?

• As this is a natural way to rejuvenate the skin and no actual product is being used, the results are permanent. A course of treatments is recommended to achieve maximum results.

Who will perform the treatment?

• Your treatment will be carried out by one of our fully trained aesthetic nurse practitioners.
• You will be able to meet with them before the treatment goes ahead to discuss the number of recommended treatments to achieve the best results for your skin type.

Is Dermaroller ™ painful?

• As always, this is dependent upon the pain threshold of the individual.
• Your practitioner will numb the area with topical anaesthetic cream to help minimise any discomfort.
• A ' sunburn feeling '  will be experienced on the first 24 hours.
• For the 24 hours following your treatment you will experience redness and increased sensitivity. You will be advised by your practitioner to keep your skin protected from the sun and not to wear makeup for the first 12 hours to allow the skin to heal and any tenderness to reduce.
