"Prettier not younger" result from fillers
30/04/2008

Cosmetic surgery patients want to look "prettier not younger" after their treatment, it has been claimed.
US surgeon Dr Steven Dayan told Shape Your Life magazine that non-surgical cosmetic procedures such as Botox and fillers are not just effective in treating wrinkles, but also other aspects of the face.
He explained that minor changing details in the face can make people appear older such as baggier skin, thinning lips and dropping mouths.
London-based surgeon Patrick Bowler agreed with his sentiments, explaining that although Botox in the forehead can be very successful, it can often leave the rest of the face looking out of balance.
"Along with Botox, and in the right hands, they (fillers) can transform a face, leaving you looking fresher and prettier," he said.
The magazine states that surgeons can add curves, symmetry and definition to a face and that sometimes even just the smallest amount of filler can be a huge improvement.
According to Rajiv Grover of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the rise in non-surgical procedures is leading to an increase in facial cosmetic surgery as patients want to improve their appearance further.
