Botox is "a miracle drug"

It is becoming increasingly common for women to use Botox in an attempt to defy the signs of ageing, it has emerged.

American actress Vanessa Williams has admitted that she uses the treatment and is certain she is not the only one.

"Oh, I certainly do Botox," the Ugly Betty star told OK magazine. "I definitely think that almost every woman I know has imbibed."

"It''s a miracle drug," she added.

Ms Williams claimed to have begun using the drug last year, after stating that she was worried about looking old after turning 40 in 2003.

Reported in the Daily Mail, Manhattan cosmetic surgeon Dr Cameron Rokhsar claimed the latest trend in facial rejuvenation is the filler Radiesse.

He commented that it was the must-have in non-surgical enhancements for Oscar nominees this year.

"The results last for up to a year," he said, explaining it smoothes out lines and gives the effect of higher cheekbones.
