Breast augmentation procedures vary, says surgeon
04/04/2008

There is no "one method suits all" when it comes to breast augmentation, every patient is different, it has been claimed.
During 2007, 91 per cent of all cosmetic surgery procedures were performed on women, reports the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. The majority of these were breast augmentations.
As part of a month-long cosmetic surgery focus, Female First reports that there is different technique for every one considering a boob job.
Dr Andera Marando, a specialist in plastic reconstructive surgery, explained to the source that many of his patients are mothers who are unhappy with the shape of their bust after pregnancy and breastfeeding.
"The breasts have changed their shape so they would prefer to have a smaller upper-lifted version," he said. "So they have an uplift and the breast is fuller in the upper part.
"So it's a rejuvenation of the breast together with an enhancement."
When it comes to choosing the most effective and safest method, Dr Mandero recommended the US technique of endoscopic surgery which involves a tiny camera inserted through a small incision.
This allows the surgeon to have a clearer picture of what he is doing, he explained.
