Breast reduction for US girl after 6-year wait

A girl in the US will be now be able to get a breast reduction after talking about doing so for six years, reports the Beauty and the Breast blog.

Having 34 DDD breasts caused the girl, who is referred to as Ashley, to become self-conscious and uncomfortable with her image, the portal states.

The blog highlights the stress Ashley's breasts have caused her and reveals that she has had strangers come up to her in the street to ask if they are real.

"At first, she enjoyed the attention her breasts brought her, a kind of sexual limelight that she had never before experienced," it states.

"However, by the time that she entered the hormone-jungle of high school she was ready to shed her signature breasts for a more below-the-radar body type."

Ashley's breast reduction surgery is scheduled for springtime and she has indicated that most of her friends have supported her decision.

NHS Direct states that some women with large breasts can suffer from both psychological distress and physical discomfort.
