Cosmetic surgery acceptance 'increasing'
20/02/2008

Acceptance of cosmetic surgery and an individual's right to have it is increasing, it has been claimed.
Cosmetic surgeon Yefta Moenadjat told the Jakarta Post that he admires celebrities who admit they have had work done.
However, he added that the industry is not being fuelled solely by celebrities, but that more and more business executives are spending their hard-earned salaries on nips and tucks.
"People are beginning to accept cosmetic surgery," he said. "It's an individual's right to decide what they want to do with their own body."
Dr Moenadjat claims to have performed cosmetic surgery on some of India's top celebrities and he acknowledged that for people in that industry, looks do have a significant effect on success.
The Beverly Hills Institute of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery reports that Angelina Jolie has the most desired lips among cosmetic surgery patients.
Jessica Biel, Katherine Heigl and Keira Knightley body parts were also cited as most wanted features.
