Cosmetic surgery tip 'get it done early'

American actress Raquel Welch has claimed that the secret to successful cosmetic surgery is to get it done early.

The 1960''s star, dubbed a Hollywood sex symbol by many, told LA show-business reporter Lesley-Ann Jones that cosmetic surgery has helped her stay fabulous.

Writing for the Daily Mail, Ms Jones explained that the actress was delighted that the work she had had done was undetectable.

"The secret is to start having it before you need it," Welch claimed.

After criticising Nancy Sinatra''s facial surgery, she said: "That''s because she came to it too late. Take it from Raquel, go now before they notice you need it."

Welch is now 67-years-old and now simply has minor nips and tucks to keep her looking glamorous, the journalist wrote.

It has been claimed that Welch is to star in US drama series Desperate Housewives, playing Eva Longoria''s aunt.

She is perhaps best known for her role in One Million Years B.C. as she featured prominently on the promotional poster in an animal-skin bikini.
