Esther: I might have surgery
29/07/2008

Esther Rantzen, 68, is considering having cosmetic surgery but is keeping quiet about where, reports the Journal.
The television presenter told the north-east newspaper that there is nothing to be feared from ageing but that this does not mean she is going to embrace the signs of growing old.
In reference to the possible cosmetic surgery, she replied: "Don''t ask me where, because the moment you draw attention to a defect, that''s all people can see."
This is not the first time that Esther has spoken out about her support of the surgeon''s knife, her new book, If Not Now, When?, gives tips and advice on how to stay looking young.
"The only lasting solution to the passing of time is surgery - the facelift, brow-lift and all other little nips and tucks. They will turn the clock back maybe ten years," the Daily Mail reports her as stating.
Esther claimed that a recent survey of over-60s found many have no dreams of a pipe and slipper-style retirement and that parachute-jumping, more sex and swimming with dolphins are topping the list of retirement to-do lists.
