Facial rejuvenation 'hottest new trend'

Facial rejuvenation is the biggest trend in cosmetic surgery these days, an industry expert has claimed.

Speaking to the Augusta Chronicle, cosmetic surgeon Dr Jason Diamond said that the majority of patients currently seek facial procedures.

Dr Diamond, who regularly features on US reality show Dr 90210, explained that such treatments can improve patients'' self-esteem and confidence.

"It does something internally that creates a youthful personality as well," he said." It''s quite an amazing thing."

Dr Achih Chen of the Department of Otolaryngology at MCG also told the publication that facial rejuvenation is especially popular among baby boomers.

"If you’re healthy, you want to look healthy," Dr Chen remarked, explaining that this group of people are now often much healthier than previous generations.

Last week, UK former-glamour model Jordan was filmed having Botox injections for her reality television show.

Jordan, real name Katie Price, was shown receiving the anti-ageing injections with friend and fellow celebrity Michelle Heaton.
