Husbands 'have nothing to worry about' with cosmetic surgery

30/06/2008

Women have cosmetic surgery to satisfy themselves and feel sexy with their partner, it has been claimed.

Last week, law firm Pannone revealed that it has dealt with a number of divorce cases which have arisen as a result of people having cosmetic surgery.

It explained that partners often think this is a sign of infidelity but warned that this is often not the case.

Commenting on the report, the Times advised husbands to relax as a boob job is not a definite indication a wife is cheating.

"It''s a social trend," it stated, citing figures from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons which saw a 12.2 per cent rise in breast augmentation operations last year.

"When the whole herd gets involved, infidelity on such a grand scale seems unlikely," the newspaper remarked. "So the evidence suggests that husbands are worrying unnecessarily."

Pannone partner Andrew Newbury advised couples to take changing society and tastes into account when trouble with their partner arises.
