Lighter women voted more attractive
27/02/2009

Women who weigh less and have smaller waist-to-hip ratios are more attractive.
That is according to research published in the latest issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeon's (ASPS) official journal.
The research carried out in Germany involved manipulating the image of a woman and altering several of her physical features.
Her legs, weight, hip and waist width and bust size were all altered. Some 34,000 people were then asked to give their judgement on what they viewed as the most attractive body.
The ASPS recently published a report which revealed that the environment may have a significant effect on how people age.
ASPS member surgeon and study author Bahaman Guyuron, MD, explained: "A person's heritage may initially dictate how they age - but if you introduce certain factors into your life, you will certainly age faster."
Dr Guyuron said that the study compared multiple sets of identical twins as they are "genetically programmed to age exactly the same".
Those twins who had been divorced looked close to two years older than siblings who were married, single or widowed.
