Lipo 'most popular' among men

Liposuction is the favoured cosmetic surgery procedure among young men, it has been suggested.

Dr Kevin Tehrani, founder of Aristocrat Plastic Surgery in New York, said more men are opting for cosmetic surgery and that young men are increasingly going under the knife.

He added that liposuction is particularly popular among males, with treatment focused on love handles and stomachs.

According to the expert, the improved speed of procedures and recovery times is leading more men to take the "plastic surgery plunge".

Earlier this week, Nip/Tuck star John Schneider admitted that he "went the liposuction route" two years ago when doing "1,000 sit-ups" failed to give him the flat stomach he wanted.

He told TV show Extra the results of the treatment were "great".

During an investigation into the cosmetic surgery industry in the USA, British TV journalist Louis Theroux also opted for liposuction to experience the treatment first-hand.
