Mothers 'entitled' to cosmetic surgery
21/12/2007
Many women may find that despite their best efforts, they can never achieve the pre-baby figure after giving birth, it has been claimed.
According to New York cosmetic surgery clinic CosMedica, an increasing number of new mothers are turning to cosmetic surgery to regain the figure they once had.
It states that so-called Mommy Makeovers can improve women''s self-confidence and help them achieve the figure they have always wanted.
"After dedicating your energy and focus to your children, isn''t it time you did something just for yourself?" reports the firm.
The Mommy Makeover consists of a tummy tuck to remove excess skin and tighten stomach muscles, breast augmentation to create a younger and curvier look and also a breast lift to reduce the sagging that results from pregnancy.
Research by Egg bank has found that 0.3 per cent of new mothers have had cosmetic surgery to improve their appearance after giving birth.
